What to say about this series? It brought me a rollercoaster of emotions while I was watching this series. Sometimes I was hooked on it, sometimes I wasn’t. There are times that did get boring.

Sheren Tang as Kau Mui
She is a complicated character. In the beginning of the series, her character was really questioned. Was she good? Was she bad? What were her intentions? Before long, we discovered that she had a good heart to help others. She was trying to establish her self with power in order to carry out her plan. She is a strong character and she has a lot of things under her sleeve. Her past was something that made her the way she was. She was strong enough to be a man but yet gentle and kind-hearted as a woman. I loved her character, it screams amazing because of the complexity. Her courage and alertly to save herself from many situations is just so surreal at times that is good.

Sheren once again shined through this series. Her facial expression and her actions give me chills at times. Yet she can play a kind-hearted person who smiles and gives a very warm feeling. Her character was very hard to play out as there was much mystery of what she was really thinking inside her head. She played out her complicated character well, a very deserving best actress award.

Wayne Lai as Lau Sing

He was a brave character with nothing to lose. A cop that would stand up for what was right. He was willing to sacrifice to protect people who were worth protecting. There was much compassion with this character. He was always there to help Kau Mui. I felt as if he was a guardian angel toward her. Of course there were times where he leaned on her. He cheated death a couple of times and ultimately lost his memory in the end. His memory of course was gained back and he had a happy ending to his story. I quite enjoyed this character a lot. He was the ideal heroic person. I loved the way that he would do anything for anyone and can even stand up to death.

Wayne portrayed this character pretty well. I think he did a way better job here than in Rosy Business. I can’t imagine anyone else playing this character.

Pierre Ngo as Tong Kat

He was a weak and innocent man, who didn’t have much gut. His hero is basically Lau Sing because he saved his life so many times. With this carried on this shoulder, there are countless times where he tried to repay Lau Sing’s favor. As the story progress, he isn’t that timid boy anymore. He was able to have great eye hand coordination when it came to shooting. The first part of the series seemed to focus on him a lot more.

Pierre’s acting was simply very convincing. It was an 180 degree turn from his mean-bullying and selfish character in Rosy Business.

Raymond Wong as Yeung Yeung
He was the love interest for Ching Ching. He did everything to make sure that the love of his life was safe. Everything he did, even risking his life, it was for Ching Ching. There wasn’t much about his character as he was just basically one of Lau Sing’s subordinate.

Raymond is a good actor. I enjoyed him when he was at ATV, and at TVB he shined even more. Sometimes I just feel his facial expressions are over exaggerated.

Evergreen Mak as Leung Fei Fan

The selfish cop who is basically against Lau Sing and his groupie. He caused problems with Lau Sing and his wife and his career. He was just a bug trying to get revenge towards Lau Sing and Ninth Sister. He was basically a bug that never went away. There were so many times that I thought he would be done, finish, gone, dead, but no. His life/ existence keeps getting saved. Every time he was saved, he took it for granted as he kept seeking for revenge from the people who saved him. When his wife finally died, he finally woke up and realized his revenge plans are done with. His character seem to always cheat death or cheat punishment. There was a lot of grace on this character and it seemed like he never learned his lesson, which really bugged me every time he was on screen.

Evergreen shined through this series. Maybe it was because this evil role was so important in the storyline, which he was able to shine on-screen. He seemed to play his villain part very well. I really believe that big production series can make any star shine.

Fala Chen as Ching Ching
She was an innocent, gentle character with a disease. In the beginning I liked her character but as the story went on, her character wasn’t as likeable anymore. I mean I get the point that she can die …soon, but come on. There are so many times when the story focused on her disease and there were so many times where it looked like she died. I felt as if her storyline was such a drag. I pity her, in the beginning. As the story went on, I think the focus on her illness was just a little too much. What I really liked about her character was her diary. I think her diary was cute as it acted as a narrator for parts of the series.

I don’t think Fala quite shine with this character. I think she did a great job, but I think it’s the storyline that made her not so great in this series.

King Kong as Mukaiyama Tetsuya

The Japanese solider. He is the rank officer that works with Kau Mui. With his power, he was able to “protect” Kau Mui during some circumstance, but in return, Kau Mui was to open more Opium Dens in order for his wealth to grow. Throughout the series, I always wonder if he was somewhat good, just a little, but he wasn’t. I don’t know, he never seemed to be as bad of a solider as I thought he could be.

I am relatively new to King Kong. I haven’t seen him really acted until this series…I think. I think he did a great job. E.U didn’t really count because I didn’t think he had a significant screen time.  I enjoyed watching him. I don’t believe that anyone else could have taken this role besides him. He didn’t look Chinese and he gave a very cold and strong appearance.

Nancy Wu as Ma Lai-Wah
I questioned her relations with Kau Mui in the beginning because I didn’t know why she kept asking her about her plans. I thought that she was Kau Mui sister and that Kau Mui wasn’t really Cheng Long-kwan’s daughter. We soon realized that she was the daughter of Kau Mui’s “sister”. She had promised to take care of her “sister’s” daughter because she had an addiction. Lai-Wah soon became Cheng Long-Kwan, who was Kau Mui’s father, second wife. This complicated the relationship between herself with Kau Mui. She is a very selfish and has a high self-esteem. I don’t enjoy this character as I feel like she does nothing well in this series. She is another bug in the series.

Nancy did a good job, but it wasn’t outstanding. I don’t like watching Nancy play snobby roles, it just doesn’t look pleasant to me. It also meant that I didn’t like her screen time.

Lau Sing & Kau Mui  There was love, but what kind of love was it? For the longest time I was confused about whether they will have a love story or not? In the end, I realized that they did. They didn’t have a modern-day love story, where you kiss and hold hands and that was considered love. Instead they came to each other when they needed help, they cared and looked out for each other. They supported each other through all the crazy ideas and actions. It was a kind of love that didn’t need possession of that person. The chemistry between them was amazing. They were so in sync when it came to each other and they understood each other.

I wish that their story were more satisfying. I felt that their ending was rushed. You can see their love but it wasn’t fully expressed because there wasn’t anything that really said “I Love You” But their love story was amazing because I felt as if they cared for each other a lot and they went through a lot of near death experience with each other. I really wished that the were together for the rest of their lives, it was only fair. Well at least they were together the last few years of their lives.

Yeung Yueng & Ching Ching

I guess this is supposed to be the cute love story. It was, in the beginning. They grew up together and now they realized that they are falling for each other. It got kind of annoying how Ching Ching would not accept him. He was always there for her, protecting her from harm. The constant rejections and disapproval was from the fact that Ching Ching was sick and that she can die anytime. You can see their love for each other because they sacrificed a lot for each other. In the end, they did get together and were married.

I thought their storyline together was quite a drag and boring. They are cute together and they do have amazing chemistry together but sometimes I did fast forward when they were on-screen. I quite enjoyed Yeung Yeung’s crushing on her. It was the little things, for example the house, and the jealously that made me enjoy this couple.  I thought their ending was cute and sad. Overall I did enjoy their story but it was quite a bored at times.

The storyline.

About half of the storyline was based on conflict with the war and the other half with the opium business. The story started out “modern” day with a flashback. The flashbacks gave an insight to what the story was about. Then the story unfolds. The conflict between the opium business was basically the fight for power within the business. Kau Mui and her aunt was the main fighters here. During the dispute, Kau Mui also had a plan to destroy the business, in which she did just before the Japanese took over. As this was going on, conflict between Lau Sing and Leung Fei Fan was also in play. When the Japanese army took over, the story focused more on everyone in the story and how each of the characters tried to survive the cursed war. After the war was over, it wasn’t completely bliss. Kau Mui had to deal with the opium business as well as with her aunt. Everyone is still struggling as the country isn’t in good shape after the Japanese left.

The storyline is just way too good. There was mystery, love, revenge, hate and a lot of conflict and back stab situations. It basically got me thinking about what is going to happen next. I was hooked onto watching with many thoughts running through out my head, how will they get away with this one?, what the ….? , and is he going to die yet? There isn’t much series out there these days that is so dynamic. It has a bit of everything as it keeps the audience on the edge of the seat.

The ending…

I felt was quite disappointing. I felt like there was so much more they could have done to wrap the series up instead. I didn’t feel as if the series closed well. I mean, there was a lot of things happened throughout the series, and it just ended, like that. It was a happy ending, but I wish it ended with a bigger bang. Lau Sing losing his memory was kind of lame. I wanted Lau Sing and Kau Mui to have that happily ever ending, they still had it, but they wasted 30 years. I wish that they didn’t wasted those 30 years. It was still a decent ending I have to say.

Overall, I quite enjoyed the series. Most of the time I found myself addicted to the series, just wanting to watch more of it. There are times where I did fast forward. The cast was well put together and I found myself loving Sheren Tang and Wayne Lai just a little bit more.The series provided gave the audience a roller coaster ride through emotions and thoughts. It is a series to remember, a series that is marked down in TVB history.  This was my favorite series in 2010.

On what I am watching now…

Someday.
I picked it up last week & I quite enjoy this sitcom. I am currently on episode 20. It’s funny & light. I guess the stronger cast makes it more appealing. I am in love with the relationship of Teresa Mo and Chang Tse-Sheng. They are just too adorable together. I just don’t see how they will break up.

What I finished…

Mysteries of Love.
I was hooked on this series from the beginning. I think the biggest reason why I loved this series was because of the cases. I liked seeing how Raymond solved each case.

Burning Flame III.
Hmm… I didn’t like it, but I did like the relationship between Amiee and Bosco. I think the acting of the overall cast was not great.

The Beauty of the Game
I quite enjoyed this series also.  It was nice to see how the entertainment business was portrayed in this series.

Healing Hands 2 runs around the hospitals, telling stories about the doctors that work inside. Doctors are human too as they run through each and everyday trying to save everyone then can. At the end of the day, they are still normal human beings with relationship problems and life problems. They faced happiness and sadness as they are able to save lifes and helplessly lose some, even some of the ones that they loved.

Paul (Lawrence Ng),  which seemed to be one of the bigger focus throughout the series, is like the big brother of all the doctors in this hospital. He is a neurosurgeon, actually a well known one.  He cares for his patients more then anyone else. The reason why he works so hard is so he can maybe one day help his girlfriend wake up from her coma. Paul was an unselfish guy as he helped a lot of his friends through many things. He is one of the characters I felt bad for. Everyone left him, honestly he has the worst luck as most of his friends died in front of him. I pity him as he watched one of his friends die and his girlfriend who was in coma for a long finally left him. He cried and was sad throughout most of the series. I don’t find his character too interesting though. Paul to me is the unromantic boring guy, but he still a pretty good guy. I do like his mature presence over all the “immature” doctors. I am not a fan of Lawrence as I found him more of a serious actor who could play serious roles very well but when it came to being funny or whatnot he is pretty stiff.

Henry (Bowie Lam), is one of the carefree doctors. He is a fun doctor with a playful character. When it came to love, he was clueless as he didn’t know who he really loved. This created the most problem with his life. Besides that he was someone who can’t commit to someone. His mom finally came back and even though he didn’t like the way she acted much, he realized he did care for her and he cherished her days before she died. I really love watching his character. I thought he was pretty funny sometimes as he tried to avoid many situations in his life. Bowie did play out his character very well as I like him playing these carefree guys.

M.C (Moses Chan), who is an egotistic doctor makes his appearance into this hospital as a heart surgeon. He seems like a big shot as he wants to be on the top and be the one that makes the most money. Sometimes he does seem to get a bit selfish. He was at odds with Paul, because as it seemed  to M.C, Paul was trying to gain Tracy’s friendship and liking for something more. When he needed help, Paul was there to help him which ended the cold feelings. Toward the end of the series, he does seem like he does have a heart after all and he doesn’t seem as selfish anymore since he does care about the people around him after all. I honestly like his character as he was selfish in many ways but as days went by he began to change a bit. By having Moses Chan, it helped me like his character even more. He was gorgeous in this series.

Chris (Raymond Cho),  is an E.R doctor who is still pretty young. He is the one that makes everyone laugh with his some what clueless ways sometimes. Even though he is a bit immature he does handle a lot of situations with a mature state. I love the way he could make any dull moment funny by popping some jokes up or nonsense. Unlike Henry, Chris was a good guy. He was faithful in relationships and tried his best to win the heart of a doctor of a higher ranking. In doing so he worked his butt off hoping he would get promotion soon to match her status. I think he would be my favorite male character in this series. He is so cute, it made me happy whenever I see him on screen cause I knew he was going to say something interesting. As for Raymond’s acting, I loved him ever since I watched him in Welcome to the House and Healing Hands III. He is a delightfully funny guy ever here and there.

Anson (Maggie Siu), a strong doctor who doesn’t really fall for love anymore. That was broken when of course Chris came along. She was the type of women that cared about her image as a doctor as she kept on telling Chris to called for his image more. At time she does tend to be harsh but she is a career women, as I would like to say, so she does seem a bit tough. Her expectations for her sister were high, but it was a regret on how harshly she treated her when her sister finally died. Her sister’s death was her biggest breakdown. I strongly liked her, but there is nothing too special about her though. I found her as being one of those mature doctors too.

Suki (Fiona Yuen), who is Anson’s younger sister who is still in training of becoming a real doctor. She tends to break down a lot under the pressure of her older sister. I honestly didn’t care about her, but she grew on me and I started to like her. Then when I did started to like her, she died. Her death was very sudden and sad. I felt as if her death was one of the biggest ones beside Jackie. No one saw it coming and when it happened it was a big blow on Anson and Edmond(Michael Tong). She was so innocent in her murder. I found her pretty cute, especially her relationship with Edmond and her sister. I did wish she didn’t die and got back together with Edmond though.

Dorothy (Kit Chan)  is another carefree doctor. She is the girl version of Henry and Chris mixed together. She is playful and funny as she would fool around with Chris a lot hinting that there might be something going on when there was nothing going on between them. There was not much to her character. There wasn’t a big emotional scene with her. I like her character though, I love how carefree she was, but I didn’t care too much for her. In a way I felt bad for her also as she loved Henry but she could never really have him. I think this is the first and only time I saw Kit acted, and her acting is very cute, I think.

Tracy (Yoyo Mung)  is the typical rich girl who took the road to become a doctor. She carried her princess attitude to work and to the people around her. It only changed when M.C finally left her and Paul woke her up from her selfish attitude. Even though she wasn’t selfish later on, I still found her to be a childish in many ways. Honestly I don’t have much to say about her. Her character wasn’t something I adore too much.I think she falls too fast, in love I mean. One day she was depressed, the other she told Paul she liked him.  Yoyo did a good job playing a brat, which is something you don’t see anymore, at least I don’t think.

Annie (Flora Chan), is not a doctor but a lawyer. Most of her friends are doctors as she worked for some of their patients and is the girlfriend of one of the doctors there. She was a loving person especially toward Henry, but that love wasn’t fairly returned, or it didn’t showed like it did. There wasn’t too much to her character because she didn’t stay too long,which I blamed Henry for. I wish she did, I love Flora. I think she has great chemistry with anyone that she worked with. I wish they focus on her more but she does seem neglected from this serial. I loved her relationship with Jackie, they are clearly good friends and when she died, she broke down crying, which was a very sad scene to watch.

Relationships in this series, what do I have to say. It’s messy. Triangles and mess, honestly this serial felt the most like Grey’s Anatomy due to the relationships around the hospital, well kinda. All in all, it was still pretty good to watch these character develop their relationship within one another.

Paul and Jackie. Jackie has finally woke up from her coma and she is in the hands of her loving boyfriend again, but their story was short lived. Soon into their bliss, Jackie was inside a burning building and with her kind heart, she helped some people get out of the building but herself she die from all the inhalation of the smoke. I felt bad for Paul, as he waited so long for her to wake up and when she does, she is gone for good. It was a pity how Jackie only lasted for a couple of episode before she was taken away. I liked them together. I found as if they had great chemistry together that was brought over from the first serial. I wish Jackie did lived a little longer, perhaps even married to Paul, maybe it would make this tragedy even harder. I found the writers waking her up was tease. They do look cute together. No matter what happen I found Paul always belonged to Jackie.

Paul and Tracy. Love that was form from friendship. After Tracy broke up with MC, she was really down as she really did love him and she couldn’t bare the breakup. Paul was there to help her get back up and through it all Tracy fell in love with him. I don’t really like this couple. I found as if there is no base to their relationship, like there was nothing special to them. She was the type of girl Paul would like also.  I also felt as if Tracy was just a replacement, I didn’t feel as if Paul loved her enough. For some reason I felt as if he still loved and couldn’t put down Jackie. I found as if their relationship was a bit forced too.

Tracy and MC. Their story is pretty simple as MC dated her just because she was wealthy. He needed her to help him climb up the social ladder a bit. Their relationship started to crumble as MC cared more about stocks then her and Tracy felt like she didn’t like him as much as she did before. MC did grew tired of her princess ways and dumped her. After a while, MC grew up from his selfish ways and he became good friends with Tracy. Tracy loved him all along as it was seen when they broke up, how down she was. As for MC, I don’t know if he really did or not. I believe that he did for a while but he couldn’t stand her princess ways anymore and that is how it fell. I found them pretty cute and matching but it was a pity that they didn’t last too long. I really love the Yoyo & Moses pairing.

Henry and Annie. It seem as if Annie cared more for Henry then Henry cared for Annie. Soon Annie found out that Henry had a string of girls and felt unsecured with him so she decided to leave him. It was not when she left he realized that he cared for her the most. I don’t love this couple, I just like it. I don’t know what the rave is about Flora & Bowie, but I don’t think they are that great together, Flora looked better with a lot of people also. I do think they were pretty good together here, its just that I felt bad for Annie as she was neglected a lot from Henry. I didn’t feel as if Henry loved her enough, even when he only missed her when she left. They did have a happy ending as I guess the back of Annie appeared and Henry embraced her in his arms.

Henry and Dorothy. Their affair does seem like a Grey’s Anatomy affair. It was really based on attraction that were exchanged in the hospital. When she down down he was there and when he was down she was there and that is bascially how it led to the deadly attraction. Dorothy did cared about Henry, but Henry, especially after Annie left only cared for Annie. I didn’t really cheered for this couple as because they happen, Annie left. I didn’t think they have too much chemistry either when they were together. Also the baby, is it Henry’s? I believe it is, I think Dorothy doesn’t want Henry to know because then Henry would have to think all over again of who he wanted to be with. Now we don’t want that to happen again since, it does take him a long time to think about these things.

Anson and Chris. Their story seems simple compared to all the other ones. It started with them at odds with each other, well not really. Anson just didn’t really like Chris’s character and how he doesn’t care about his image on being a doctor.  After a while these two got closer and Chris started to chase her, but she didn’t accepted him until later on. I think this couple is adorable. Even though the age difference they still can make it work. I think in real life “Chris” is actually older then her, or the same age, maybe just because he doesn’t seem to age that much makes it seem as if he was younger then her. They do have some chemistry together but not a lot. I just found them pretty cute to watch, maybe it was from the influence of Healing Hands III.

Besides all the love relationship, a lot of friendship happen within the hospital. I loved watching a bunch of them hanging out at Pandarama just joking around. All of them look like they have a great connection with each and and felt as if they were really good friends. Of course the friendship between Paul,Henry, & Chris, Chris & Dorothy, Jackie & Annie stood out a little more but all in all the chemisty with each other is fairly great.

There wasn’t a big connection between Healing Hands I and Healing Hands II. There was the cross over of doctors such as Paul and Henry, but many of the doctors from I left and many new doctors arrived at II, such as M.C and Dorothy. Honestly, it makes you wonder what happen to the old cast as they were mentioned only a couple of times. Some of them left to be doctors elsewhere and one even died. Anyone can watch it without the background from I.

I really like these Healing Hands serial because I love the intense situations of being a doctor and it also showed that doctors are humans too, they have feelings and they can’t save everyone that comes to their hands. They watch people that they love leave them even as doctors unable to save them. The plot was very simple, but it was good to see how these doctors lived outside the hospital and saw their friendship and relationship develop within one another. I definitely like this one more then the 3rd one but I don’t know if I can say I like it more then the first one because the first one and the second one is 2 very different ones as most of the cast did change. Nonetheless, this serial is a great one to watch.

Finally, it took me forever to find this series. After reading MetalAZNWarrior’s review on this series back in April I believe in 2008, I was determine to watch this. After searching online, going to numerous of video stores, that told me it was out of print and that it was too old for them to carry, I finally found it. It took me one year and 3 months before I finally got to watch this series. Of course I could have watched it online since I believe it has been uploaded on Tudou, but I like watching my TVB series on the big screen. I was overjoyed when my dad finally brought home this series in VCD for me.

A typical love story, about a ghost searching for (normally), her long lost lover from when she was alive. As good as this story was, it was a bit typical as there are many adaption of how a ghost searches for her lover on earth, which is believed to be a live. In some cases they are and in some cases they aren’t. Hong Kong movie such as Rouge, (1988) to TVB’s Time Before Time, based their storyline on a girl ghost appearing onto this world to search for the long lost lover that they have left behind. With this base, the storyline of course are all different. Time Before Time had a mystery involved on how this pair of lovers died. This created a love story and a mystery for the audience to watch.

The story started off as a couple, which seem to have died together. Fu Yung (Kathy Chow) was actually the one that eventually died but her spirit was trapped inside an umbrella. Man Kwong (Gordan Lam), didn’t actually die, he lived but he died soon later, and was killed by his brother. Fu Yung who was accidentally released from the umbrella is here on earth to find her long lost love, hoping to find out that he is still alive. Under all the investigation, Man Kwong was killed soon after her and probably reincarnated, which was now Tai Kwong(Gordan Lam). One night, Tai Kwong recall his past life with Fu Yung and he slowly falls in love with her because he knew he loved her in his past life, but now he also had a wife, Mei Ying (Florence Kwok). This caused a love triangle between two humans and a ghost. Along with this love triangle, there were more problems to be dealt with along the storyline.

Man Kwong and Tai Kwong are both very love-able characters. Man was more of the serious type of person while Tai was more of the playful funny guy. They are both very different in character. Tai Kwong’s character really made me angry when he cared for Fu Yung more then Mei Ying. I found him a bit foolish in the way that he couldn’t tell what was real love, something that he had with Mei Ying, not Fu Yung. He only loved Fu Yung because he realized he used to love her in another life. Other then that fact, I thought he was pretty cute as he was pretty funny in some scenes.

Che Tat Fu is also one of those love-able character. He wasn’t selfish like his dad and even tried to fix his dads old ways to help him become a better person. Tat Fu is one of those characters you feel sorry for as he never gets the girl he wanted even though he was always by her side, the girl only loves another guy. Yet he still doesn’t mind and stood by her side through everything. Even when he died and was also a ghost like Fu Yung, he would rather stay a ghost in the world then to go to the peaceful after world.

Fu Yung is very unrealistic with my thinking. Could you really love someone that long? Even when the person you love can’t love you and when there is another guy who does like you and care for you is in front of you, you still can’t seem to let go? Maybe girls do tend to be the one that can love someone longer. I do love her character because she is so determined to find her lover again. I found as if her character is too dependent on love, which I guess could be a girl thing also. I feel bad for her in a way and sometimes I do wish she would just go away. I pity her in the sense that her old lover isn’t here with her anymore and I wish she would go away in the sense that I didn’t want her presence to ruin the relationship between Tai Kwong and Mei Ying. I guess you can’t make her go away since she is the main reason for the story.

I love Mei Ying. She is such a cute character. I just adored her. She was so innocent in this whole series. She did nothing wrong and yet she still had to fight with a ghost for the feelings of a guy that she was with since they were little. I also found her character very carefree which was love able too.

I thought the relationship of Fu Yung and Tai Kwong would be great and I thought I would love seeing them together as they developed their ghost and human love relationship, as I read many great reviews on this relationship. I was pretty much wrong, as I didn’t really like their love part of their relationship. For some reason it kind of bugged me.  I just thought it was foolish how obsesses Tai Kwong was with Fu Yung, he only loved her because he realized in his past life he loved her. To me I don’t think its that great and its not real love because Tai Kwong isn’t Man Kwong, Tai Kwong don’t love Fu Yung, its Man Kwong that does. Honestly I felt as if it would have been better if Tai Kwong just slowly fell in love with her instead of him remembering how he loved her and that is why he loved her. All I have to say is that as cute as this couple should be, I don’t think Tai Kwong should fall in love with Fu Yung, at least for not this reason of loving her in his past life.

On the other hand I love Fu Yung with Man Kwong. I think they were cute; Man Kwong was willing to sacrifice his fame and fortune to be with the one he loved. I mean how many men could do that, willing to give up everything and to be poor again just to be with someone. I felt as if their love was more genuine then Tai Kwong and Fu Yung. Their chemistry is great here, I could feel their love as I watched them together. This relationship was more real and honest compare to Tai Kwong. I honestly wished they had more scenes together or more flashbacks.

Mei Ying and Tai Kwong were very cute together. They were like the high school sweethearts, they messed with each other and they loved each other. They are too adorable together.  I really enjoyed watching their chemistry together. Maybe that is one of the reasons I didn’t like the way Tai Kwong started to like Fu Yung. I felt bad for Mei Ying, as she watched her husband love a ghost. It was very unfair to Mei Ying as she had to win her husbands affection with a ghost, not human but a ghost. Tai Kwong should have only love Ying as in this life, she is his and Fu Yung only belonged to him in his past life. At the end of the series, Mei Ying and Tai Kwong were together until the end and lived a happy life with each other.

I found Che Tat Fu and Fu Yung a bit more cuter then the relationship of Fu Yung with Tai Kwong. You can really see how much Tat Fu loved her, he was always by her side when she was sad. No matter how much Tat Fu liked her and showed how much he cared for her, Fu Yung didn’t seem to care too much for him in the romantic way. All she wanted was Tai Kwong/Man Kwong. Even though they didn’t get together I really do love watching their scenes together, especially in the beginning on how he played the piano for her. I wish they did get together when Tat Fu died and became a ghost couple. Sadly, that couldn’t happen since I guess writers really want Fu Yung’s character to be loyal to her old lover.

The last few episodes kinda bored me and I found it a bit pointless. I guess it was a good intense hair grabbing, if I have to say mini storyline. Mainly, it just pissed me off in some ways as it didn’t have to do anything with well…the storyline of Mei Ying and Tai Kwong or Man Kwong. It just talked about super powers. I found it a bit pointless to the overall storyline and things could have ended early with the series if this part didn’t happen.

The ending was a good one. Tai Kwong was to live the rest of his life as Man Kwong and took over the business. He was able to spend the rest of his life with Ying and he died peacefully while he accidentally dozed off. In his after life he saw Fu Yung waiting of him to die so they can reincarnate together so they will have a chance on being together in the next life. I found it cute and not cute at the same time since Fu Yung was able to wait for Tai/Man Kwong but Tai Kwong won’t wait for Mei Ying to die so they could reincarnate together. In this new life, Tat Fu, Tai Kwong and Fu Yung were together but not Mei Ying. This makes me a bit sad as she was left out. In the end, I was glad that Tai/Man Kwong was able to find Fu Yung in this new life and was hinted that their new love story will start soon.

The theme song was great too. 抱緊眼前人. The lyrics were very fitting to the storyline.I recall listening to that same song when I was little. It really brought back some memories. This really reminded me of how there were a lot of great songs during the 90’s, they all had such deep meanings behind them. Out of all the songs the late Anita Mui had ever sang, I think this has got to be my favorite one. This song was so fitting too, as Anita’s deep voice filled the dramatic scenery of it all. From listening to this song, it really gave me the kick to listen to the 90’s canto pop music again.

The storyline mostly was based on the Chinese view of the after life and how people do live again and how ghost works. It didn’t really interest me too much as believe that once you die, you die, you don’t reincarnate. Your soul will go to heaven and stay there forever. Of course its only my belief, no one exactly knows what happens after you die, only stories could be told. Everyone will one day know the answer to that once you leave this earth.  It was still nice to see how the Chinese culture saw the after life as. The love story in the storyline was great as it was romantic. Can love stand the test of time?

The acting done by everyone in this cast was great, I felt as if everyone did their part and contributed to making this series memorable. What really stood out of course was Gordon Lam. I never actually saw him in a series this serious, well besides all those comedic parts, he was a good actor. He did a great job playing both Man Kwong and Tai Kwong, which I thought was pretty difficult to do as they were both very different character but he played it like his only role in the series. On the other hand with Kathy Chow, I didn’t love her too much. I mean I think she was perfect for the casting of Fu Yung, but she isn’t one of my favorite actresses. With her, I like her sometimes and the other times I don’t, you can say I have a love hate relationship with her. There are times in this series I think she is so great with her acting and all but then when she looked pitiful I don’t like her. I guess to me I don’t like the way she is sad, it’s exaggerated? to me. All in all, I have to say each actor and actress portray each character nicely and perfectly.

All in all, I think this series is a must watch for a lot of TVB fans. It might be hard to find in my case, but I am pretty sure you can watch it on-line on Tudou, or maybe you are luckier then me and are able to find it on VCD at any video store in Chinatown. However your case is, you should get your hands on this series. It doesn’t drag and it’s pretty short also so it’s a plus if you think you don’t have time for a long series, or even a normal 20 episode series. There was never a really big dull moment in this series. This series is perfect for ones who are looking for a good nice love story or comedy or even some suspense.

It seemed as if Sunny and Jessica met, well at least Sunny knew Jessica when they were in elementary school. It was spilled on the night that he was drink and Joyce overheard that he loved her for 20 years and it started back in school. When this was known to her she tried to help Jessica find out about his love for her that lasted that long.

As Jessica went back to her old school, she talked to her old bus driver and they started to talk about Sunny, and how he had a crush on her, but she didn’t knew. She wanted to know more of this boy. When she went back home, she looked through her old yearbook she realized that there Sunny was her old classmate, and founded out his nick name which is also the same as the nick name of the boy that had a crush on her.

When Jessica was sad about her report card, Sunny drew a happy face on a ball and threw it over to her. This cheered her up and Sunny watched her smile from a distance.

It also seemed as if Sunny got his nickname, from getting hurt all the time when he was secretly watching Jessica. He hurted himself by bumping into things as he hide from her. Throughout the year it also seemed as if Sunny was always secretly putting things on her desk and seat, things that were broken, missing, to make her happy. Jessica never knew who knew who did this.

Years later they Sunny recongized her at the ski resort from her name at the front desk but she didn’t know who he was. He started to watch her secretly and one day she looked down and when she left her seat, Sunny drew the happy face on a coaster and placed it on her table before she came back. When she got back she saw it and cheered up.

Of course in the end they made up. Jessica went back home and saw Sunny packing all his stuff, she thought he was really leaving her and told him that she knew how he loved her since they were little. He said that he wasn’t leaving and that she was the only one that he loved.

After 4 long months of this series, it finally came to a close. Its been a great long run. I have to admit that I at least skipped about 15 episode throughout the whole series, hey it wasn’t that interesting in the middle. The plot only really got good around episode 50-60ish.  The themesong was fitting and the video was good as it showed more of collages of  pictures then actual video. The title GEM, didn’t fit the title much as I thought it would have. It barely talked about jewelry and diamonds, but I guess its a good title. Since honestly, the gem in life is really the people around you.

Jessica. A materialistic character. I liked how many shoes she had, it was like a girls heaven. I questioned her character a lot though. Whether she was good or not? Whether she was lying or was she telling the truth? Was it really for interest or for the interest of others? Well in the end, she was left with nothing. No husband, no son, she was all alone again. I felt pity for her at that moment. Her story line was actually pretty good throughout the series. I just appreciated it more toward the end of it, near when she started to have problems with Martin.

I always questioned Jessica’s love for Martin. Did she really love him or was it just so she can have money and power again in society. I realized that she did really love him after he started to distrust her and when he finally died. It was pretty sad how Martin didn’t trust her anymore. It was sad, since I really enjoyed seeing them together.In some way I wish that he didn’t die… I wish he would live to be with Jessica. But I guess by his death, it really showed how much Jessica love him when she would still think about him and how he treated her.   I also wonder if Martin loved Melissa more. Some of the scenes felt like he liked her more. I don’t know, it was never too clear with his relationship with Melissa. It was pretty clear that she liked him though, or at least so I thought. In the end, I think Jessica and Martin are my favorite couple in this series.

Sylvia was the oldest and it showed. She stayed clam and always help her sister, but when it came whether it was for her sister or Calvin she chose Calvin. I liked her in the beginning and I always thought she was the brighter one out of the three or the better one. Her story line actually interested me the most in the beginning because of her relationships. As time went on, it bored me as I felt as if it was going no where and I started to turn to Martin and Jessica. Then near the middle of the series, I didn’t like her character anymore, she started to piss me off.

I felt sympathy for Calvin since the very beginning of the series. It was in the way of how he grew up with his mom and how he didn’t want to be looked down upon. He just wanted a better life so his mom didn’t have to work for their living. It really showed that he loved his mom a lot. Once he was up and running in becoming a big successful rich man, he didn’t want to go back to being poor and did everything in his power to keep his power and wealth in society. He has got to be my favorite male character in this series. I just really adore his relationship with his mom.

The Sylvia, Calvin, and Sunny triangle was pretty interesting. The gay concept was pretty surprising in the sense that I don’t think there was anyone that was gay in a TVB series that was like the main character. I think things would have been better if he wasn’t gay and he did like Sylvia instead of Calvin. Soon later the triangle became a square with Catherine in the picture. Then it really got interesting. 3 people that wanted one person. Who knew that Calvin would be such a hit? haha. Anyways, it was interesting to watch all of them sacrificing for one man.

Constance was the one that I was always frustrated with. She always had to tell on people and just butt into people’s business, which caused me not to like her as much. I was so annoyed with her with the whole Jessica accidentally killing someone with her car. But all in all I guess she was a nice person,she just wanted the right thing to happen. I found her very annoying which made her the least favorite sister out of the three. I didn’t enjoy her too much, which is a pity because it was the last role Gigi took before retiring from the entertainment circle.

Terrance was a stubborn playboy. I think he is the least liked character for me. There isn’t much to hate about him but there isn’t much to love about him either. He is stubborn and is always on Jessica’s back. He always fought with his dad and the only real good relationship he had with anyone was with Constance. Terrance was nothing special to me. On the other hand Moses, played him very well. Its just something about Moses handsomeness that he can play a playboy very well.

Terrence and Constance was an okay couple. I was too use to seeing Moses and Gigi together so I didn’t feel much with them. T&C were pretty cute, I didn’t really liked how Derek kind interfered with them, it just dragged their story for too long.  By the way I didn’t like her with Derek, I felt as if it was more of an obsession then love, just saying. Their storyline wasn’t that much anticipated for me, because to me it seem repetitive from other series that they were together. There wasn’t  a specific scene that really was super cute for them that made this couple worth watching then the others.

Will was one of my favorite characters. Maybe its because of Bosco, or maybe it wasn’t, but he was a good character. I thought he would be one of the guys that would turn all bad and evil, with his increase gain of power. I was glad he didn’t turn out to be that way. I loved how he cared for Melissa when she was sick and he became like her best friend. i thought he was doing this because he wanted more power and money through her company but in reality he did cared for her and wanted the best for her before she finally died.

Elise is a character I wish they showed more of. She was a mean spoiled brat, but when it came down to it she did have a heart. She did cared for the people that was around her, especially her grandfather after his heart attack. I like her relationship also with Tai-Wor later, I really thought they might hook up as he saw her changed into a better person.

Will and Elise storyline was pretty …boring. I don’t know why but I felt as if they didn’t talk about them too much. In the beginning there was a good amount about them and as the series went on I felt as if their storyline together wasn’t that great and there wasn’t much of it either. I didn’t find too much chemistry between them for some reason. I didn’t even really got why she would like him. Their storyline was very much I felt overshadowed by the other story lines that were going on in this series, so I felt as if I didn’t really get to watch their feelings developed and such.

The most un greedy real person in this whole series just could be Shek Tai-Wor. He never did anything that would benefit himself, but for others. He took himself out of the game just so his brother can continue on and win. I don’t find him as the most loved character for me, I just find him as a very pitiful character, as he sacrifice a lot for the people around him. He had too big of a heart.

Honestly,I still don’t really know what the plot was. I thought for the longest time it was going to be about, well jewelry, gold, silver and things like that. Well it did touch on that subject, just a little though, for Terrence and Constance’s  storyline and her dad. It was mainly in the beginning and as the series went on, it wasn’t much surrounding the ‘gem’ anymore. It was more of the conflict in business and between the men of the three sisters. They fought for wealth and power and standings in society.

The ending was something that I looked foward to, because well its the ending and I wanted to see how everyone’s life came about. I thought it ended nicely. It was a good conclusion but I thought it should have been more of an exciting one. Maybe something like Louise character died or something like that. I think it would have been a little more interesting with a dramatic ending to it. But all in all I quiet enjoyed it, it was something to watch to fill my time in. The storyline is not too great. There aren’t many long series like these, these days so it was nice to watch something long, even if it was pretty boring. I might rewatch it once, to get a better understanding of it. Since half the time I was watching it, I wasn’t even payng atttention and I have skipped some epsiodes. I was also confused with the storyline, like I didn’t really know what was going on, so it will be wise for me to rewatch it when I get the time. Then I will come back and edit this with more thoughts, for example more characters and the plot.

I can’t wait to blog again because I have so much to blog about.

The ending was good. To be honest I was looking for more of a better ending, a more dramatic one. The ending I thought would be good or supposedly good since the whole series was very catching and dramatic… but whatever.

Ron was supposedly on Michael’s side and they were in the factory. Previously Ron has changed the lock to the back door and mix the drugs so that there was a problem with it. Then he texted Samuel with Chiu Sir’s phone and told him his plan at their “secret” hiding place. When Michael finally got inside of the factory, he wasn’t able to get back out because Elanne was outside and that the backdoor was also locked.

Michael and Ron finally escaped from the factory and ran outside. He was wondering why everything went wrong all in one day and he knew that Ron was the traitor. Ron slowly took out his gun but Michael took out his first and started to beat him up. He took out his gun and they started to fight. Ron got away and Michael kept on chasing him and eventually shot him until he couldn’t move anymore. He walked over to him and he was just about to kill him, when…

Samuel appeared in the picture and he stood up against Michael with an unloaded gun, confident that there were bullets inside to hide it from him. Michael ask him whether he can actually shoot him because he looked like his father and if it will make him live in life of guilt. Samuel told him, he was nothing like his dad, even with the face, he is still a bad guy. Shots were then fired and the cops started to come over. Michael ran away because he didn’t have any bullets anymore.

Michael Miu‘s ending was not that great but it was ironic. He ran along the street and Elanne was there with a taxi, screaming at him to get into the car cause she didn’t want him to go to jail. In the end, he could have got away when his daughter pulled the taxi up to him and told him to get in, but he didn’t. He was paranoid about trusting anyone anymore, so he ran away from her. As he ran away he a car hit him. I actually get why he won’t go in the taxi with her, his trust for people were broken again… and again by the ones he trusted most and by the ones he loved most.

The ironic part was that the people driving the car was some of the kids that took his drugs, and they got all high. He rolled over the car and finally fell onto the floor and fainted. The cops finally got him.

Samuel and Ron had a long talk about Ron’s role as a policeman and how he was able to get the silver whistle in the academy. Ron didn’t want to go back into being a policeman because he thought he wasn’t capable of doing so anymore. In the mean time, Chiu Sir woke up and he admit that he didn’t know who was the one that shot him.

Elanne went into visit Michael in jail, where he had attempted to suicide. All the dreams of Michael was lost and he didn’t find the hope in living. Also his eyes were broken which meant he can’t walk anymore. He then realized he should have trust his own daughter and leave with her. If he did, he would have had a better ending.

Elanne left a mini book by the tree and Ron found it. In the book it talked about how their relationship and everything that they have gone through. In the end, Elanne wanted things for them to end where it had started under the tree and that they couldn’t be together anymore because they have gone through too much. She also thanked him for all the things that he had given her, after he met her. Ron walks away from the tree where it was written by Ron that he would wait for her. Also, Elanne was leaving Hong Kong for a while.

The ending Ron was a cop again and they whole crew set out again, like the other 2 ending, they go off to a mission.

I was hoping that Ron and Elanne would actually be together, cause I think they were pretty cute and they look good together. I was hoping that he would catch her before she leaves but it didn’t happen. I never expected that they won’t end up together cause they were pretty close to perfect.  if there is another sequel I hope he doesn’t get another girl, I am kinda sick of him changing girls all the time. I thought a better ending for Michael was that if he died… or maybe he got away with everything. I thought anything would be better then for him to end up in jail, its too typical. I wanted something extreme since the whole series was full of surprises, the end failed to surprise me. I also felt as if the ending wasn’t the ending, it just felt as if it lacked something…just something.

I actually got a hold of the ending pretty early, about 2 days before orginial airing, which was pretty sweet. That is why this post was so quick.

So far so good, I don’t know why but I thought I would be excited for this series, but I am not. I hate the theme song, the video for it is alright but I don’t like the song. 

I am not even  a interested in the Samuel Chan’s story-line. I find him rather boring in this series, actually no I have found his story-line boring in the past 2 series too. The most exciting part was when he found Michael to be his father but that was basically it. He is not too exciting. I don’t really bother much about his story-line.

I don’t like Kaki too much. She is just not that attractive to me. No offensive if you like her or anything but her face looks flat… like flat. I don’t know how else to describe it. I don’t care for her story-line too much either just like Samuel’s. This kind of sense that I am not interested in her relationship with Samuel either. 

Ron’s story-line on the other hand interest me. I love watching Ron way more then watching Samuel. There is so much to his character. He is very exciting. I am looking forward for his role as the undercover cop. I wonder if he will actually turn bad or will he remain good as he finishes his job. I found that his character has changed a lot . He is now this dirty scum bag, I remember he used to be pretty neat back in the Academy Days. Well I guess one thing that didn’t change of him was his impulsiveness. 

Elanne Kong is pretty cute. I like her more then Kaki. She has a better flow in her acting, it also feels as if she doesn’t have to try, it just comes out naturally to her. I would like to know more about her, all I know is that she sings and she was in some movies. I hope she gets to act for TVB a little more. She looks very young to me too. Her character is very lovable. 

I am really looking forward to Ron and Elanne’s love story line develop. They look cute together. I think I will make a MV of them, just because I think they are too adorable together. The blog thing was pretty cute too. I wish Ron would stick with this girl if there is another sequel to this series.  Seriously, how many girls do they have to go through?

I was excited to see Michael Miu again. I always thought of how he will return in this series, and it was pretty … not interesting, but its okay. It’s so weird seeing him as a bad guy. I don’t ever think I seen him portray the evil one, well except for Dicey Business, but that didn’t really count. He was partially good in that one.  I like how mysterious he is, at the beginning I thought he would end up as a good guy, but later on its clear that he does want power and such. I don’t know why but I keep having this feeling that he is a good guy. Something like in the end of the series, there is a twist to his story-line and it shows that he was a good guy all along. Maybe he is a cop too? Related to the dead Michael? That is most likely not to happen though, I can only wish that could. I just feel like there is a lot to his character.

Michael Tse as Laughing was pretty neat. His name was pretty weird though. Anyways, he is … very interesting. I have no idea what he is doing all the time. Somehow mysterious. We all know how he is a ______(don’t want to spoil for the people that don’t). I am looking forward to see how is identity is revealed.

Kathy Chow, oh my goodness how long has she been away. I am glad she came back. She looks prettier then ever. Well, she isn’t the prettiest thing I seen, but she does look prettier here. I am excited to see how she will fall for Michael. She is such a nice and innocent person, I really want her to reunite with her sister and mother soon. 

The series is going pretty good for me, I am eager to watch most episodes soon. This series is also passing by very fast to me, since I finished about 1/3 of it already.

After many updates and breaks in between, TVBThink has lasted for one year. Created in November of 2007 and officially launched on February 4, 2008, it has been one great year of reviewing, creating images and meeting TVB bloggers around the web. 10. Catch Me Now

This was a great series but it failed to make it high on my list. It had a very nice storyline and it was a police/crime story ahead of its time. It was awesome seeing the gadgets and the way Damian gets out of his crime. It also brought me to love Johnson Lee a little more and founded an actress that I like now Koni Liu. Fala Chen is also very pretty and outstanding in this series as Joe’s wife. The chemisty between Joe and Damian was pretty nice in working together even though they have 2 different standings. The ending was pretty great too, with 2 endings.

9. Your Class or Mine

I got to say that I quite enjoyed this series. I like the chemistry between everyone in the cast. I especially love Sharon and Bobby together. They are pretty cute when they had scenes together. The “kiddos” in this series weren’t that bad either. They are actually pretty good actors, considering that they are pretty much new. The storyline was great and can be relate-able to a lot of kids (like myself) struggling with sports and school at the same time.  I think I would like to re-watch this series again one day, since in the beginning I didn’t really pay attention in the beginning of the series.

8. A Journey Called Life

I think this was one of the best inspirational series out there. It was kind of ironic how it talks about life and making it through life when they have a business to crave tombstones. Linda’s performance was amazing as a rebel/bad girl, it got me ready for her other series Gem of Life. Of course her relationship with Steven was just too cute too. Other then Linda, Fala Chen had a nice performance too, it was a pity that she had to die off.

7. D.I.E

For the longest time, I thought that D.I.E would be a very high rated series for me,also thinking that only Moonlight Resonance could beat this out of first place. I was wrong, better series came on through the next couple of months after the airing of D.I.Ethat totally beat it down into 7thplace. With a creative storyline and concept, this was very much a new kind of series that was opened up in 2008. This series also brought me to be a fan of Margie Tsang and a stable fan of Derek Kwok. I can’t wait to watch D.I.E II but is sad because Margie won’t be in this one.

6. Moonlight Resonance

A lot of people might have Moonlight as number one this year or even at their top 3 if not even their top 5. I placed it near the bottom of my top ten for many reasons. Even though I was hooked onto this series, I didn’t felt as if it was good as Heart of Greed. I felt the surprise left me because I know this series will have a good ending. Along with that, their love stories were draggy and not expand enough. For example, the Bosco-Linda-Raymond issue was really draggy, it got me to a point where I didn’t care who she ended up with and Tavia and Moses was a couple that didn’t have much focus on especially on how they even got together. Even though I like the concept of moon-cake and family, this series wasn’t good enough for me. This might even be a series that I might not watch again since it is pretty long.

5. Best Selling Secret

I was glad that I did picked up this series late 2007. It wasn’t that bad after all and it made a very high ranking in my 2008 list. It was maybe Esther’s only series for a while but it was one of the best. Her love story with Geoffrey was a memorable one. It was cute and love-able and it just wanted viewers and me to get them together already. This was satisfied by the time Esther left BSS. This series also brought out the Elvina-Tsui Wing match and Florence -Stephen match, which left the viewer satisfied after Esther’s leave. Even though this series wasn’t exactly funny or dramatic, it was pretty much of a good series to lay back to watch. I will definitely re-watch this series one day.

4. Forensic Heros II

I remember rushing back to the hotel/house just to watch this series when I was in HK/China. I remember during its finale, I was staying at Disneyland and I was suppose to go get something to eat but I didn’t until very late, cause I wanted to finish watching this special hour for this series. In the beginning it was pretty boring and my expectations for Linda’s death wasn’t reached so I was disappointed. Near the end the series was much more interesting, with the dramatic cases and the storyline between Charmaine and Kevin, it kept me wanting more.

3. Silver Chamber of Sorrow

I wasn’t expecting this series to be so good. I picked it up after watching their 6th episode, cause after that I didn’t know how I was going to let this series go. It was like a different version of War and Beauty(something magnificent as well). I loved the fighting, the bickering the hatred with everyone. I especially loved Christine’s character. She was so innocent at first, but after finding out how she was tricked into this marriage of someone she doesn’t love, made her a bit evil. It was great watching her and Ng Wai Kwok scenes together, ‘an almost lover’ love story. The ending was great and unexpected to see how Christine lived through the fire. With the majestic theme song, captivating storyline and a period where woman has no standing, this series should have been promoted just a little more.

2. Last One Standing

An outstanding series of its time. It almost felt like as it this series was our modern day Secret of the Heart or like Cold Blood Warm Heart. Both Roger and Kevin did amazing in this series, but still unable to grab any awards due to the hype on Moonlight Resonance. This series had a different ending unlike a lot of normal typical series, this ending didn’t have a conclusion to Roger. I think that this series can be the most unrated series of all time. Honestly, I felt as if this series could have taken away a lot of things from Moonlight Resonance, but due to the fact that Moonlight really had to take most of the awards, Last One Standing was swept away in a little corner without any attention to it. If only this series had aired later, maybe in 2009, this series would have been a blockbuster at the awards.

1. When Easterly Shadows Fall on the Sunny West

Surprise Surprise. As I was thinking about writing the end of the year review a month ago, I never expected WESFOTSW would take the title as #1. I wouldn’t have even touch this series, if it wasn’t for bad engknowlegdement of Joe being within 20 miles of me each day. I needed to watch this series, on how I could have met him while he was filming…sigh. Other than that pity story, this series was pretty good in that I felt as if it was something different. It was different in the case that even though Joe did turn astray, he didn’t fall completely, he still had a son and the woman he loved in the end, which was a nice ending. I also didn’t expect so many people to die, which was a plus for the dramatic factor. It was nice to see how Joe falls every time someone dies. Which this also lead me to think, did everything that Joe did, was it because he wanted power or was it to please his family name and the title of being the head of the house. Sadly this series wasn’t a high rated one due to our economic times, but I believed that this series is pretty good, something definitely worth re-watching again.
  

Series that didn’t quite make it:


A series that I didn’t really care too much about. There was hype but I didn’t think it was all that great. Bosco hairstyle was very ugly in this series and it didn’t match him at all. All in all though this series was pretty cute and it was nice how they focused on magizine and the world of fashion. I think this might be a series that I would rewatch again.

I am still wondering why Gallen would do this series. It was cute and fun series but it is still somewhat pointless in its storyline. I guess it was still pretty much fun to watch this series with most of my favorite actors and actresses in it, and with my newly love actress Margie.

I was hooked onto this series from episode one. I guess it was the mystery of the deaths that got me hooked and that it was Michael Miu here As this series progress, it was exciting but in the end after looking back at this series I didn’t find it that great. It was not too extreme dramatic storyline but it was good enough to keep viewers watching and guessing.


It was sad, it was cute, it was funny and it was heartbreaking. Seventh day was a very nice modern love story about 2 couples. I liked how it had a storybook design and I liked the concept of the whole series.  Even though I felt like this was a fresh series, I felt that  it was pretty boring. In a way it kinda got repetitive. Getting back together, breaking up, getting back together. In the middle of the series I actually skipped many episode, due to its boring storyline. Overall I liked the pairing of Niki and Kevin, they are just too cute. For me re-watching this series, I am still iffy on it, since it was pretty boring but it was pretty cute.

Series that I didn’t watched:

I don’t know how many people that I told, saying I would watch this series by the time my summer vacationends. It never exactly happen. I have watched clips and bits of it and even got to watch the second half of the ending. I heard many praises and many non praises of this series, which left me wondering if I should watch it or not. After about debating for a month and leaving it alone. I think this series would be left alone forever. I don’t think I would have the energy to actually watch a series about a topic, I honestly don’t care about.

This series was airing a week before finals and with my trip to New York, and airing at the mid spot of the night when I was in HK /China. I just didn’t have time to watch it. I think I have only watched about 5 minutes in HK, when I was at dinner, just before we left the resturant. I don’t really plan on watching this series …anytime soon at least since it doesn’t look too interesting to me. Who knows maybe I will pick it up soon, but I highly doubt it.

Another series that was air when I was in HK/China, during the timeslot when I was going back to the house/hotel so I wasn’t able to watch this series. I only watched about 10 minute one time and that was it. I told myself that I will watch this series this winter break, but for my busy scheduele, I wasn’t able to pick it up. I do hope I get to watch this series soon because even looking at Kate and Ken’s pictures together I find this a very cute series already.

I have watch many bits and pieces of it when it was playing in my living room cause my dad was watching it. I quite like it but I never just picked it up since I didn’t have time and that kung-fu/police ancient series aren’t my type of thing to watch. I am pretty sure that I would pick up this series again since I do like the plot and from what I seen, it was pretty good.

I don’t think I will ever watch this series due to my lack of interest in fantasy,even though I like Sunny, Linda, and Benny.

As much as I liked the first gentle crackdown. Sunny and Wayne can’t pull me in  to watch this series. I just didn’t want to watch it cause my lack of interest in the storyline.

Another series that was airing when I was in HK on saturdays. I have watched snippets of it and I did enjoy those couple of mintues of it. I think I will picked up this series once I get the time. I like all these schooling mini-series, like their previous Heart of Fencing and Sunshine Heartbeat.

Dislike series:

This is one of the series that I didn’t like this year. It was also the first series that I wrote in this blog. One factor that lead to that was Louisa character bugged me a lot. The way she used people and everything disgusted me and the series in whole. I didn’t like how the series portray out the storyline withJapanese food as the center of attention with a character like Louisa. I felt like it didn’t match and the storyline was very boring to me. The things I did like about it was that character pairing.

Off Pedder,Pages of Treasures, The Gem of Life

It all began in George’s bar. The workers from Chiu Magazine came over to have a drink and talked to him, when he gave them a 20% discount every time they went. Then Ivy went to talk to him in private telling him not to give all these outrageous discounts to people. Then they talked about changing the stereos in the bar. Ivy then talked to him about not wasting these money on these stupid things and that the bar isn’t even making money. Then George told her that new stereos would enhance their business, when looking around no one cares about what are they listening to through the speakers. A waitress came over to them and said that a customer wanted fish ball. Ivy volunteer to get them for the customer.

After getting the fish balls, Ivy started to make her way back to the bar, but was stopped when she saw a necklace display on the window. She went into the shop and brought the necklace. After buying that necklace she went shopping, looking for pants,bags, jackets, shirts and shoes to match the new necklace that she just bought.
When she got back home George questioned her how much money she spent just to get the fish-ball. Then she explained herself that she saw the necklace she wanted for so long and it was on sale so she had to have it. Then she had to go shopping to get some clothes to match the necklace she brought spending in total of $8,000. Then George talked to her about her wasting so much money.

Then they went to Ivy’s closet, calling it a warehouse. The maid took out clothes that she only wore once, and clothes that she brought the same things in different color. George kept telling her that she had a disease of being a material person, that she has to buy stuff every day. Ivy bet that she can live one $100 a day for 3 days, if she lose, she will changed all the speakers and stereo at the bar but if she wins, Geroge can’t ask her for money for 3 months.

The next morning Ivy was going to work with Yan. She put on a eye cover so she won’t see all the shops that she would be passing by on the way to work. She had to smell some medicated oil because she can’t smell leather cause she would think of the leather purses. All of a sudden the car broke down.

The car broke down in front of a store and Yan got out to get on the car. Ivy took off her cover and saw the store in front of her also seeing the mannequins trying to lure her into the store.

When Yan finished looking into the car, he didn’t see Ivy in his car anymore and notice she went into the store that was in front of them. Inside the shop, Ivy reserve all these purses for 3 days. Then she saw this purse that another lady wanted and they started to fight for it. Ivy took out her wallet and see that she had no money. That is when Yan finally got in and she asked him for money so she can buy the bag before the other lady can. Yan tried to stop her and succeeded as the other lady brought the purse.

At the meeting at the magazine, Gary wanted to research and do a story with an Italian brand. Yan stepped out of the room to get drinks for everyone and Ivy told Gary that she would to the story and she also asked them to lend her some money. Yan came back and told them not to lend her any money.

Ivy told her that she couldn’t take it anymore, there are too much sales around. Yan kept encouraging her that she can do it and she is strong enough to pass these 3 days without buying anything. He also told her that even her dad doesn’t believe that she can do it. He promised that he would help her make it through walking down the street full of shops.

Yan brought Ivy into the streets of Central where all the shops were closed already. She saw that there was a bus stop that had always been there but she didn’t pay attention to because she was too busy shopping. Ivy also felt as if the streets were wider. Then she questioned Yan about him having something that he really wanted but he can’t, leaving this fire inside of him.
The flashback played when they were young at a toy store. Ivy told him to ask the 3 questions before buying something that he wanted.

The next morning, Ivy bravely walked through the streets of Central with the shops all open, to prove to Yan she can do it. She remember the 3 questions before buying something she wanted, then she asked herself that question when looking at the displays on the window, making it a breeze to go to work that day.

Yim Hei came over to Ivy telling her that she should go to Double V’s headquarters for a story. She pushed the invitations to Paula and Gary, but they can’t go because of what they were wearing right now. Yan pushed the invitation back to Ivy that she was the only one that can go. Yan gave her back her credit cards and told her that she can do it today even if it is her favorite brand.

Back at the house, George and Yan were talking about how it was so stupid for Yan to give the cards back to Ivy. She will let go of those cards and will swipe it until she can’t anymore. Yan told him, that he knew her and she won’t do that.

Ivy finally came home with nothing in her hands. George was surprise and Yan was happy that she did it. George had to call to cancel his order for the speakers and stereos for his bar. She said that everything was 30% off but she thought about it with the 3 questions and said even it it was 50% off she won’t buy it. Later the door rang with a delivery guy with bags from Double V. George call and said he will order his speakers for his bar.

Ivy said that their CEO gave her 70% off everything at Double V so she couldn’t resist but to get all these things.

I like this episode because I can totally relate to Ivy. We are both very materialistic person and we just have to spend money on things we don’t need. For a period of time, I had to buy a lot of things just simply because I wanted to and half the time I didn’t even use it or wear it. Shopping is sometimes uncontrollable especially with a credit card in hand. I am not that uncontrollable these days when it comes to shopping because I TRY to set a limit these days thinking about if I am going to ever wear this certain top or shoes soon and for what occasion. It does take a lot of self-control.I am pretty sure a lot of girls has this same problem as I had before and I liked how Off Pedder showed this problem in one of their episodes.

Bowie: You have something on your face…….Hey, you rip your pants, your underwear is being showing.
Maggie: Are you still little? I stop playing this game when I was 7. Stop embrassing yourself in front of people.

They both went into the elevator.

Bowie: How can I make you smile?

Then everyone left the elevator leaving those 2 in there.

Bowie began to take off his clothes in front of her and pretends to be a creep going after her. As he finally got to her, she finally smiled.

Bowie: A smile
Maggie: Stop playing around. If the police catches you I won’t bail you out.
Bowie: You are coming to my house tonight, I am gambling with you.
Maggie: That is just what you said, I never said I would gamble with you.
Bowie: Are you trying to trick me to get yourself out?
Maggie: This just started.

Bowie started to put his clothes on when the elevator door opens. A mid age lady was there and had a shameful look on them. When the door started to close the lady pointed at them. Bowie grabbed Maggie’s hand and dashed out the door.

We began January off with some young hip people. I don’t like the brightness of some of the clothing and Linda’s pants. It is a great way to show that TVB doesn’t have much sense of style.

February brings in good luck with red and Chinese New Years. I think Michelle’s make up is pretty but the hair, I think they were tyring to make her a little older looking to fit in to the older generation. With so much youth inside of her, she still look so young and pretty despite the hair cover up.

March with green for St. Patrick’s Day. Is that why it is a green background. Anyways, why are they being so cold right now. It doesn’t feel right. Charmaine and Sonjia is so formal and Roger and Michael seemed to be in the cold winter months.

April is for Chanel. This reminds of of an ad campign for Chanel due to their closness of their faces and the black outfits. I don’t like it though, especiallly how Myolie looks in the middle. Somehow this is kinda creepy.

May, may bring you back to the 80′s, early 90′s. Gosh thank god I wasn’t really in this era cause if I was I think I would be blind with all the fuzziness and the 3D glasses that I have to put on all the time.

June. I think this is a very cute one. Everyone is smiling and happy. I think Patrick look so cute. I think this has got to be my favorite month. At least this looks more natural then any other month.

July we are off to the seas with captain Ron. I like it up to the point where I saw Natalie in the corner. She looked like a creepy doll.

August. I hate this one. Cheezy pose and bunch of girls in their swimsuits in front of a backdrop. It would been better if they used a beachy backdrop istead of a tanish one.

September. When its time to go back to school with formal male clothing. I like it though its very professional looking.

October with Halloween which I think Maggie is suppose to be. Bobby looks photoshoped in. He really stands out of this picture. I think this was kinda of a useless month. They could have done more with these 4.

I like this month too. November. Moses looks pissed from not getting an award in 2008 so he will try to look mad all year so in 2009 he might get one. I like Gigi’s red dress its nice.

December. Gosh, I don’t know how to begin with this picture. Liza, she looks likes she still is hot as if she was 20. I don’t like her bow. She just looks creepy to me. The guys surrounding her doesn’t make it any better either.

In the end what can I say? I love all these cheezy tvb calenders.

This really lives up to being the Best Selling Secret II. The storyline is so similar. Unlike, advertisement, Off Pedder is about a magazine with two heads fighting against each other. These two heads, is Elaine and Teresa, just like Elvina and Esther in BSS. Elaine is more like Elvina as Teresa was more like Esther, a carefree, fun boss that didn’t want to start this war in the first place. The setting of the office is pretty much the same too, with the two divisions completely split in half. Also they are always, eating, sleeping and just gossipping around the office area. I like how the are together again in the office, just like BSS, a big family. In Off Pedder it seemed like its a little smaller since most of the girls from BSS is not in here. I have a feeling I might give up soon on this series, just because I don’t want to chase after a 20 minute a day series for …one year. That is just too much. I might just watch the episodes that involve Wong Cho Lam, Aimee Chan, Tsui Wing, Elvina Kong,Teresa Mo, Stephen Au, Florence Kwok, and Wayne Lai.

You can also tell who really gain more screen-time from BSS and who’s screen-time really lessen. In my perspective, it feels like Elaine Kin & Tsui Wing really gained screen time as Elvina Kong lessen. Also where is Florence, Stephen, and Wayne. I guess it is kind of too early to tell who is really the main characters in this series. Hopefully, Florence, Stephen and Wayne would appear soon.

I feel as if Elvina got less screentime. Most of her screentime were just couple of lines and everytime I see her, she is right next to Joyce. Its too early to tell whether she would have a significant role in Off Pedder, but I hope she does since one of the reason why I am watching Off Pedder is because of her. I don’t really like her character as Gam Yuk Kin though, maybe its because I am not use to it. I was used to the high class, formally dress to work Elvina, not the casual chic look of her. Dude, this chick has so many pairs of glasses. It kind of makes me want to get some even though I don’t wear glasses.

I really like Teresa. I didn’t know I would like her that much. Her character reminds me of who other then Esther’s, Wong Ka Nam. The nice, carefree, friendly one. She is kinda funny too, at some moments. She is also pretty for her age.  I can’t believe I grew to liking her so fast. I am excited to get to know about her a little more and to watch some of her movies and watch her as the main character in Off Pedder. I just hope she doesn’t leave in the middle of the series. I also wonder who she is going to pair with.

Tsui Wing, has a lot of screen time here, he appeared in every episode, and most of those episodes that I have already watched, is somehow based on him or he has a big role in it. This somehow reminded me of Stephen’s character in BSS, where in the beginning its mostly focus on him and his life.  I feel like he had a big promotion from his character in BSS, since he is more focus now and has a lot of scenes with Teresa.

It seems like Teresa and Tsui Wing is the star of the show. I thought HorB was going to be the main lead, but he doesn’t even appear in more than 2-3 episodes out of the 15 I have watched. I have a feeling that they might pair up. In a way I know they won’t pair up just because it seems like Yun Shueng is very independent and she seems like she only treats him as a little brother. On the other hand, it seems like Kwok Yen cared for her a little more than that older sister thing. Just saying.. I kind of want to them get together to see how it might work out. In a way I don’t because it would be too much of that brother and sister love,instead of real love.  Also of course, there are many people that want Tsui Wing with Elvina again, which from what I heard, their storyline will explain a lot in around the 100 esp.

So far I have 3 favorite epsoides, 2 consisted of Elvina and Tusi Wing.

I always wonder how they will become enemies. I thought it was through their bosses but after a while it seemed as if they didn’t really cared for their bosses battle and was friendly with each other. This episode is pretty cute since there was a lot of scenes between BaoYen & Yuk Kin. Its funny how he tried to help her with her boyfriend problems and he helped her boyfriend with his girlfriend problems. It was pretty funny in the end when they found out what happen. It’s funny how her boyfriend is so stupid in rattling Bao Kwok Yen out. Just when they were friendly with each other, it turn into hatred. It’s okay because hate can turn back into love very easily.

This episode reminds me not to talk to strangers on-line, and especially not to met them in the real world. This is a very typical problem this world has today. Guys getting all sweet and making the girl come meet him and the next thing you know something else happen. I think this episode was pretty cute in that BaoYen was trying to get all sweet while talking to Yuk Kin. After she realized the truth behind the computer and that she was humiliated through the magazine, her hate for him worsen. I thought that Bao Yen was suppose to dislike her too, from earlier news that I have read about their relationship. I guess after this episode, it is only a one sided hate.

My most favorite episode so far in Off Pedder has to 15. I will do a separate post for this episode.

All in all, this is a pretty alright sitcom. I still do like Best Selling Secretbetter, just because I thought each role was fit perfectly and that the people had more screen time deserves it. Don’t get me wrong I do like Tsui Wing and Teresa, its just that I don’t really like how Elaine is getting the spotlight right now. I am also kind of sick of the office fighting thing between two boss, seriously better drama can come up in office scenarios. Also I thought Best Selling Secret seemed friendly unlike Off Pedder. There is just something not that inviting with Off Pedder, I just don’t know what that thing is right now. Other than that I guess I will only watch the episode that looks interesting that revolves around the characters that I cared about until I feel like chasing all these episodes.

Joe Ma, Liza Wong, Charmaine Sheh, Selena Li.. Joe Ma..Joe Ma…& Joe Ma is enough reason why I should watch this series. Also this series was filmed in a studio in a city in China where I WAS!!! part of the summer. No, I didn’t try looking for Joe when I was there, because I thought my brother was lying to me and also cause I had a lot of stuff on my mind when he was telling me for me to actually realized what he was saying. Yes, I regret not listening to him.

What is up with the LONG title.. When Easterly Showers fall on the Sunny West.. that is like 8 words in its english title. I can rephrase it in my own words, When Tears fall on Bliss. haha, not much better but at least is shorter.. and its not as confusing. I swear I misspelled the title 50 times already on the title of this post. When Eastern Showers.. When Easterly Shadows.. When East Shadow fall on Sunny West. I swear one day I will work for TVB, and I will be the person that comes up with better, simpler titles. Honestly, I know where this title is trying to lean towards and know how they came up with the title.. but seriously it doesn’t need to be that long and complicated dude. -_o

Anyways, I really like this series. After watching about 2 epsiodes of it, I was pretty much hooked onto it. Unlike Gem of Life where I was hooked after 2 epsiode, then it getting draggy for me afterwards, this series didn’t bored me at all. This series also reminded me of Point of No Return. I think it is because their setting is similar and that Charmaine was pretty poor in both series and that there is a richer guy falling for her. I feel like this series is also progressing in each epsoide unlike the Gem of Life. In a way I feel rushed in this series, there is too much going on in so little time, haha.

The themesong was pretty interesting. I thought this series was going to be a drama filled one and when I heard ths song, I was surprised on how relaxed and slow it was. It seems like a really happy song at the ending of the song with the la la la. The setting and editing is very nice. I like the glow, the softness of it all.

The storyline right now is a very capable one. It was pretty intense seeing how Joe would get out of jail and out of his death penlty. Also it was interesting to see Raymond and Charmaine together. Their story was a bit short and rush. I felt as if they just got together cause they seemed interested in each other, seems as if there is no real love at all. Or as if its only puppy love. Honestly, I wish they ended up together then her with Joe, because she looks better with Raymond, in my perspective. From the looks of the themesong, we all know Charmaine and Joe will be together in the end.

I really disliked how Liza treated Joe before their reunion. I didn’t like how she wanted to drive him away by acusing him on stealing and how she didn’t trust him. I understand that she must be careful with this guy that she doesn’t know too well even though he is her son, but still. I think she should have supsected him quietly, instead of confronting him. Seriously if I was Joe, I won’t reunite with her, especially if she knew that he was her son. I didn’t really like how she treated Charmaine either when she came as a guest to her house. She is just too over protective of her son, but I guess during those times, status really does mean something.

My favorite character so far is Joe. He seems so innocent and nice. He is innocent enough not to be hated. There are some characters that are so innocent I would hate just becaue they are so naive and everything. Joe is just innocent enough not to be completely stupid and likeable for me. I can’t wait to watch his character go into high class soceity. Which also makes me wonder how would Charmaine be treated once Joe and her start to have feelings for each other.

The reunion of Joe and his father and mother was pretty much rushed to me. I thought that his identity would be known in a more dramatic moment, not like in the middle of accusing him for kinapping his brother. Pretty lame to me. Also his identiy, I feel is revealed too soon in the series, I was hoping it would come out around the 15-17ish epsiodes. I guess its okay. I am excited to see how Joe and his father will bond with one another. I can’t believe Liza is still so cold towards him. I really wonder why since they truth is already out.

Gigi walks out into the mirrors and Moses saw her. Gigi was looking at the mirror adjusting the dress.

Gigi: Is this nice?
Moses: It is very nice on you.

Gigi heard him and she turned around. Then Moses turned around to face her.

Moses: You are beautiful. The dress is also beautiful. You have confidence wearing it. It’s confidence that counts right?
Gigi looked all shy and walked back into the changing rooms. Moses stood there and smiled at her.

Gigi walked out of the changing room with the dress in her hand. The sales person told her that Moses brought it already because he liked it on her. Gigi felt a little embrassed and she looked over to the mirrors where they were a moment ago.

Sheren was sneaking around.

Bobby: Why are you standing there?
Sheren:Your cup noddle smells so good.
Bobby: Really? Let me make you one then.
Sheren: Later
Bobby: You want to try it? Why are you looking at me? Eye boogie? Nose Hair?
Sheren: No, I am here to check out whether you are really reviewing your material.
Bobby: Of course, I started out late, I have to work extra hard
Sheren: Actually, cramming is not the only way to study. You can’t cram, it won’t get into your head.
Bobby: Really?
Sheren: You should relax from time to time
Bobby: How to relax?
Sheren: A trip to the countryside……I have a break tomorrow. Why don’t you go with me?
Bobby: I go with you?You should keep Vincent company instead.

Sheren: We broke up
Bobby: Broken up? so soon? Why?
Sheren: We felt as if something was missing, so why waste each other’s time
Bobby: What can be missing? Vincent is so sincere
Sheren: I know he is or he won’t have taken me to go see his parents
Bobby: see you have met his parents already. why break up then?
Sheren: because we went to that stage, we found out its not what we thought

Bobby: well…
Sheren: will you go with me then?
Bobby: Vincent is so eligible and you still have no feel for him, then I…
Sheren:You what?
Bobby: My matchmaking was in vain
Sheren: I am not talking about this. I just want you to answer me. You go with me or not?
Bobby: I have to go back to the club tomorrow, and study.. i am busy. you go by yourself. what? no fun?

Sheren looks disappointed at his answer

After about 9 months Best Selling Secret is finally over. I can’t believe I actually watched all of these episode and took me 9 months. I give even more props to those who watch it for more than a year. Originally I thought I would invest about 2 months in this series starting from late Nov. I heard it was going to end in Jan, so I thought I would give it a try. After trying to catch up with it, I found out they weren’t going to end in Jan but in June>.< Which made me invest in it for 5 more months. Then again they lied again and 2 more months were invested.

Esther Kwan. First and only reason why I picked it back up after leaving BSS for about 8 episode. I really wanted to see her again and since its the only series she is filming with no news of future series I thought I should just give it a try and see what happens. Her performance didn’t disappoint. She also got prettier as the series progressed. It was also a pity when she left…making a lot of the audience stop watching also.

As for Ka Nam, I like her character. Its very like-able… to a point where its too like able. I recall watching some episodes, where I was just made that she can’t let Kin go. I like how she loved him a lot but, really in reality people will move on somehow. Thank God she did move on and saw that she did love Vincent in the end. She is such a good mother, always helping her son and everything. She was such a good support and helpful person in the company. I found her like the mom of the people of Ying, with her graceful character. This character is very happy all the time except when it was with Kin, then its mostly tears. She was a strong character in that she was able to let the thing she loved most go and was able to find her self a new love in the end..someone with a future like her.

Geoffrey Wong. I finally put a name to this actor. I seen him before in ATV but I didn’t care too much about him since he was more of an extra. Now as more of an extra at BSS, I finally know who he is.

Vincent is a very likable character too, with his love for Ka Nam for over 19 years. It makes every girl jealous of Ka Nam. His love for Ka Nam for so many years is an unbelievable one. He is somewhat of a playful character but he grew up and shook of his playboy character and put all his time working for his dad. I like his connections with his brother too. His character is enjoyable to watch because he has a great attitude with everyone and is willing to help everyone too.

Elvina Kong. When I first saw her I didn’t know who she was. I was like is this an extra person that I never really notice before. After searching around I was wrong, she wasn’t much of an unnoticeable actress, but a noticeable one. Her acting was alright, but it seems like she was always biting her lips or just pressing them really hard against each other. I didn’t really started to like her until I notice her relationship with Tsui Wing.

Well as for Diana, I didn’t like her in the beginning, since she is always against Ka Nam. I didn’t like the way she acted either, she was just so mean. She was like the evil boss that everyone gossip about and hated. After a while that image of her started to fade away. Of course she was still pissed off and yelled but it wasn’t too bad, or it wasn’t as focus as much. As time went by her character got a heart and even began to fall for someone who didn’t have the same status as her. She is a very strong character in that everything she did was to prove herself worthy to be the daughter of her father and able to be in their family, after about a 30 year isolation from them. She was someone that didn’t really like showing her feelings to anyone, she would hide herself in the corner when no one is watching before her tears would be shed.

Tsui Wing. Honestly I thought he was new, cause I didn’t remember seeing him in other series as an extra. I was wrong again, I found out he appeared in series like Love Guaranteed, Woman on the Run, and Welcome to the House.

His character is interesting. A guy that is like a slave to the woman he loves. He was looked down with his colleagues and he was a follower. I like the way he loved Diana, being with her all the time, supporting her and helping her. I never got really why he loved her so much, maybe its because she was someone that gave him a chance in the beginning, who knows. His love for Diana was never ending which I thought was pretty amazing. His character grew up from that guy that always followed to a successful business man in the end. His character changed a lot since the beginning, he was now able to take chances and was able to let things go. I think he was a very round character in that he was able to expand a lot.

It was nice to see her face pop up in the series. It was someone familiar to me which made me happy. As she came on my love for her grew with other series I was watching from her. I love her edginess now.

Her character has a grudge against Diana, which is her sister. She never liked her in that she always thought that Diana was raised up differently and was not worthy to be carrying the same last name as her. With her appearance, she created a lot of drama with Diana, which also affected the relationships with their significant other. She didn’t really showed how much she really loved Stephen because she needed help from other people to get back at Diana and to stay top of the game. In the end, she realized that she the grudge didn’t mean anything and that Stephen was the only guy for her.

Stephen Au. I thought he would play somewhat of a bad guy , which he normally is. This time he finally , I guess played a good guy. I don’t really remember seeing him much in the past few years except in Bitter Bitten, I recalled that he did some series when I was younger.

He is a typical guy that doesn’t like going to work and always make fun of the boss. I really liked his character just because he is so normal in this series. haha. Honestly I didn’t like him at first though, just because in the beginning he had so many episodes base on him. I thought he was like the main character or something, it also got annoying, cause I didn’t really care and I didn’t really want anymore boring episodes. As time went by his storyline shorten to only about his relationship with Queenie. I like how he treated her. He was her secret admirer. It was cute how he acted like he always hated her, when really he just wanted to be with her.

Vin Choi. Another person that I know before watching BSS,from Sunshine Heartbeat and Brink of Law. I never fully liked him or hated him. There were points were I liked him and points where I hated him. He was really a “whatever” to me.

His character is very much like a player. In this series, he had about 3 girls, which was MayMay, Kawaii, and Alien. He is just a typical young adult I guess, with unsure feelings when it comes to love. Luk Jit is just trying to grow up and working on the thing he love which was photography. He is loyal to his family and his relationship with everyone is likable.To his character was somewhat boring, all his storyline after about his mom was relationship wise.

Wong ChoLam. He is totally fresh to me. When I first saw him I fell in love with him. He was so cute and nerdy. I love the way he roll his eyes. I became a fan of him.. kinda… after watching BSS. He has a very metro feel.

His character showed much of the nerdy kid that never really grew up. He is a rather cute character in this series. His facial expressions and voice impressions are priceless. Even though he looks and acts like a kid sometime, he is very grown up. He has a love life and he knows how to deal with things especially when it game to the Chu Chu/ Kau Chun thing. His character was a nice additions making a couple laughs here and there. I wish their was more storyline involving him, just because his character leaves a lot of questions.

The first time I saw her was in Sunshine Heartbeat. I liked her, from her cute and innocent acting back then. Then time happen and her roles were more minor, and she was always that bad girl too. I started to not like her as much. As to of this day, I don’t really like her, or her acting.

Kawaii is a cute character. She has a nice fun outgoing personalities. I liked how her love for LukJitwas persistence and she really did like him. Even though she got hurt a couple times, and was rejected, she was finally able to be with Luk Jit, which I was very happy for. I thought she deserved him, because she never actually stopped liking him. In a way, I found her very annoying, when she was always around Luk Jit, I felt she was not letting him breathe. Her love for photography was great and she was even able to get a master in Japan, being there for a numbers of month as an apprentice. I was glad she didn’t get too much screen time in the end, since I wasn’t really fond of her acting, or her character too much.

Aimee Chan. I was actually excited when I heard that she will be in this series. I just think she is kind of cute and I couldn’t wait to see her acting. Even though I heard many people didn’t like her in BSS, I liked her. She was a nice happy character in BSS. She was a nice addition to a already big cast of BSS.

Dai Yen Lo is a cute character. I love her, while everyone didn’t for ruining Luk Jit and Kawaii’s relationship. I didn’t mind. She was a rich spoiled girl that is very clumsy. I like how she was so nice and innocent, unlike a lot of the rich girls that are portray now. Her name is very interesting too, like her dad’s name. Bring Silver, haha really would you name your daughter that, I know I won’t. She is a very sweet person, trying not to get in the way of Luk Jit and Kawaii’s relationship. Ultimately she kinda did, unexpectedly. I think she is one of my favorite character.

Bill Shek, I thought was a nice additon to make me watch this series. I won’t say I am a fan of him, but I really do like watching him on screen, whether he is a nice guy or an bad one.

A chef and a stock investor. I recall for the longest time I was wondering what his career was, cause we didn’t even see him work or even talk about it. He is a very nice guy, and he cared for Ng Hung a lot. It was a pity that she never accepted to married him and even leaving him after 10 years of being together. I wanted him to find another girl, but I guess he didn’t due to the episodes left in the sitcom. I was glad his ending happen to be him getting a lot of awards for his cooking.

Partly of why I am a fan of him now, is because of BSS. Watching him through numbers of episode at BSS, made me grow into him more.

He was mean in the beginning, I remember him picking on Doris all the time, but soon later he started to show his soft side to her and fell for her along with that. His character was very nice too. He was willing to compromise and help people. I think his love for Doris was very cute, in that it was hidden and he knew that he wasn’t good enough for her.

He is pretty cool, haha. Honestly, I like his accent in some way. I think it matches his face very well.

I like his character. He is either happy or mad. Seriously, you never really see his expression of like…normal, haha except for some meetings sometimes. I really love how he help people and willing to understand when it came to Ng Han rejecting him. I don’t know what else to say about him, but I know I like him very much in BSS.

I don’t like her accent…..I don’t like her acting.. but I guess she is alright to be in BSS. I liked how she didn’t get too much screen time.

I hated her in the beginning for not liking Wong Ka Nam. It’s like how can you not like her, she is so sweet. I found her annoying too and had no idea why Tin Zai Shan would date her. Then I started to like her.. then I started to hate her again.. after a while. I really didn’t like how she just left Tin Zai Shan, is like she wanted him when he was not hers but once she had him, she didn’t know if she wanted him anymore. In the end she ended up with Yin Ying Ming, who she said was like a brother to her. I felt as if she was a very unnecessary character.

The storyline was great. They focus on love, friendship, family, they even had some hatred relationship too. Each of the storyline can be a little draggy, since each different focus on one storyline, but I think they were well written, especially some of the love stories. I got to admit there were many episodes which were pointless and boring, but after about 200 episodes the story lines were more focus, and those pointless random episodes were fading away.

One of the most loved couple of BSS. Vincent and Ka Nam. I always thought Vincent had something for Ka Nam, since he was always helping her. He somewhat treated her better than everyone else. When it was revealed that he did like her and his love for her was still there, I was excited to see how they would develop. I felt bad for Vincent, doing so much for Ka Nam, but all KaNam did was treated him as a best friend. Withthehelpof Sunny Chan she discovered her love for Vincent was more than a friend. Their love story was short but yet it was pretty good. I remember they were the first couple I fell in love with, the only one at BSSfor the longest time. I hated how they only showed one episode after like 20 other pointless ones. It was so frustrating for me, I wanted to them have a better storyline. Of course they had a lot in the end before Esther left, which I really liked. I enjoyed their couple scenes, they were very cute together, just hanging out and being themselves. Their storyline was short and pretty much ended when Esther left, but their storyline was the most thoughtful one of all. A storyline in BSS that I will always remember.

After Vincent and Ka Nam, there was Diana and Kau Chun. I don’t know why I liked this couple, maybe its due to the fact that Kau Chun won’t stop loving her also and of course their storyline was starting to form. Honestly I never actually thought they will be interesting until episode 187 It was sad, touching.. and memorable. From then on, their storyline began to grow more and when there were no more Vincent and KaNam storyline, they took the spotlight. I love them together, they been through a lot. From unsure feelings to a third wheel and to just a lot of misunderstandings. In the end they were able to get together. Even when they got together, things weren’t exactly easy for them. They went through things like KC leaving and the Man family not liking him because of his status in society. After a while they broke up. Even after they broke up they still love each other very much, and viewers were faithful that they will be together again. That finally happened at the last episode with a great wedding finale. They had the hardest love of all.

I don’t remember how they actually began, I just remember that Queenie just randomly kissed David in an elevator. I think they are pretty cute together. Their storyline is similar to KC and Diana, but they aren’t as complicated as them. They really loved each other and they didn’t have too much things getting in the way. I love how David was always there to help Queenie out with her ex and many of her other problems. David always helped her even if he was making a fool out of himself. Queenie always liked David too but she didn’t want to admit it, she had enlightenment from KC before she knew she can’t let David go. After a while since they got together, Queenie started to get closer to Ying Wei Buen, which was Vincent’s other brother. They broke up and Queenie was even with Wei Buen for a while that she only loved David. In the end they got back together at the airport, with a big make-out scene in the elevator.

Luk Jit and Kawaii was an okay couple. I recall when I just started to watch the series, I like her crush on him. I thought it was cute.. a bit annoying at times but cute enough still. I really wanted them to be together but now. Maymay had to come into the picture. Trust me that was some of the most annoying and just boring scenes with her. Well anyways, they finally got together after Luk Jit finally realized that Kawaii was mature now and he noticed he had more than the friend feeling with her. I was happy when they got together cause they felt perfect for each other. They both are into photography and they both are very cute people. Even though I liked them together I don’t know why but I didn’t really like them when they had episodes focus on them. I find them kinda boring after they got together. Some of those episodes were pretty pointless too cause they didn’t have much to talk about. After a while I just grew bored of them in general. When Alien showed up I was glad..but too bad Luk Jit never dated her in BSS. Their story ended with a break up, with good terms as friends.

When did they begin? I have no idea, I forgot…honestly. I know they started on not so friendly terms. I just know that Chueng Gor was helping her a lot with her ex husband and when she was moving into her new house. Yes, I remember that pricey chair that he got her but he said it was someones old chair so she would take this gift. Soon later Doris started to help him with his housework, seeing that MayMay wasn’t available that much from her exams. As time went by their feelings deepen for each other, and Chueng was also afraid to tell her because she was a secretary while he was just a cook. With that put aside they finally unfold their feelings and got together. Soon afterwards they were engaged. One problem came up and that was that Cheung had to leave for a job for half a year leaving HK also. He didn’t want to so he did poorly on his cooking so he won’t have the chance to go. With Tin Zau Shan and Doris help he got in eventually, pushing their wedding half a year later, something that the viewers never saw. They were my 4th most favorite couple in this series. Even though I only had 4 favorite couples in this series and them being last isn’t that bad. Their chemistry together was just too cute, but I wish they had more of a deeper storyline… like the first 3 favorite couples I loved.

Chu Chu and Lau Wah was extremely cute. I never thought that Lau Wah would have a relationship, due to his nerdy characteristics. I guess I was wrong, once Chu Chu appeared. I was so mad when she disappeared because I want to watch the story between them. In the end she came back and they got together. I wish their story was more written out, like how Chu Chu started to have feelings for him, how they got together and such. In the episode we found out they got together, I felt it a bit rushed. No one really knew what happen and they left the story as it is, and focused more on other couples for the rest of the remain episode of the series. This couple was one that I wish I got to see more of.

Besides all the love relationship…there were friendships too. There were even enemies to friends.

Luk Jit and Alien’s relationship was rather interesting. I quite enjoyed their friendship. They had fun with each other at the arcade, and whenever they were talking they were all smiles. Luk Jit would always help her and treated her as his best friend. I really liked the beginning with the magical pen..its pretty neat. As days went by their relationship got a little more complicated which resulted to them leaving for school in different countries. I wish they got together though. They were pretty cute.

Mo Gei Yung hated Kau Chun guts in the beginning, calling him a dog for Diana and being mean to him. He always picked on him also around the office. Due to the incident in the freezer, they got to know who they each liked and shared a bond for liking the two sister. From then on, they talked together about their feelings, and helped each other with their relationships with the sister. Also they got Crazy Dog Production together, working up late to make up the advertisement and working together as partners to move Crazy Dog to Beijing.

I won’t really called them enemies at the beginning, they were just fighting for a spot in the culinary world in Yin. As competitors they became friends soon after putting their skills in different cuisine aside, and open up the canteen, splitting it right down the middle. I like their friendship, even though they had many difference they still can come together and just talk. You can totally tell that they cared for each other, like for example, when either one of them is bummed out, or something, the other would ask them whats wrong. They also help each other out to, especially when Cheung Gor got the offer to leave HK for half a year.

Half of BSS drama happened because of the feud between Queenie and Diana. Two sisters, born with different mothers. Honestly, Queenie’s hate for Diana is pretty much unbelievable, really I didn’t really get what she wanted out of it. Was she jealous? Did she not like how she have a sister? Was she just doing all these things to get her noticed by her dad more? Whatever it was, I don’t really care, since she did provided some drama in this series, to make me want to keep watching. I thought that this feud will never end, seriously, it felt like they will never be on fully good terms. I was wrong, and they made up near the end of the series as Diana enlighten Queenie up with Mo Gei Yung incident.

The people at the office have a great chemistry together.They had many cute scenes together and it felt like if they were as a family more then colleagues. I love it when they are gossiping and reading each other’s mind at meetings. Seriously reminds me more of school, then as a work place sometimes.

The ending. I thought it was great, especially the last episode. The whole last week of BSS was a closure of the story, mostly on what happen to the couples and ultimately the ending 2 years later. It was a very happy ending, everyone got what they wanted, whether it is in careers or in love. Even though the ending seemed a bit rush, it felt that everything had their own conclusion and that everything was fine, finally closing the series after a 300+ run.

Best Selling Secret, I got to admit is not the best sitcom, but it has a lot of good points to it. It brought me some laughs and some OMG moments and some sad moments. This series even brought me to a point where I was obsessed with it. It definitely was a good 9 months with this series. Even though it had a very boring beginning, it picked up to a series that was interesting enough for me to continue watching. I won’t mind re watching this series again…. one day. As I was making captures for this post.. I found myself really missing this series especially around the 200 eps. area. I miss Esther.

By the way I think I found BSS secret on their semi-success. They kept lying about their ending date to make people continue to watch it, thinking it was going to end soon but really it wasn’t. =] Yes it was their best selling secret.

I love Moonlight Resonance. Moonlight drama is a little lighter than Heart Of Greed, in my opinion. They still have drama, but its in a short amount of time and some new drama starts. I think I still like Heart of Greed a little more but MR is something totally new with a lot of comedy so I don’t think I can actually compare those two together.

Raymond and Linda was the best like… ever. haha. I love their scenes together in the beginning of the series. I love their flashbacks together when they were younger. I love Raymond in this relationship, he never gave up on her when she did. I felt bad for him at times since he had to live with Linda being with Bosco. I think their only problem was timing. If only they told each other how they felt, if only Bosco didn’t come into the picture.. if only… then they would have began a long time ago. They finally got together and they were very cute together, even though she left with Bosco soon later, to carried out her plan. Raymond never gave up on her and they got back together.

Even though I want Raymond and Linda together, I still enjoyed her scenes with Bosco. I recall when I first started to watch this series I was wondering when Bosco was going to appear, it felt like forever until he appear, but soon enough he did appear. From the moment Linda and Bosco met, they were friendly with each other and found out they were born very closely to each other. I enjoyed their moments together. I do wish they will actually last cause I like them together also. It kills me how Bosco hurt Linda so much especially with the Claire thing. It just sucked being her because Bosco just can’t leave Claire but he still wants to be with Linda. The scene where Bosco leave for England, I thought was the saddest scene of all in the series. I think I love them together more than Rayda in this series, just because I think they had a better storyline.

If only they had more storyline between them. I felt it was a pity on how they didn’t really talked about them in this series. They did here and there, mostly in the beginning where Moses was struggling with his stock market, and when Moses started to like Kate. That is about it. I find them awfully cute together, especially in the beginning of the series. In the end was cute to, when Moses gave her the teddy bear and when we see them having kids. Too cute.

I love the family bonding between everyone. The flashbacks of their past were quite enjoyable too. They are so happy and funny when they are together. In some way it kind of reminds me of the family in Kindred Spirit. They both have a living room where they gather and they would talk about everything and also joke around in. I love how they always make fun of people and how they would act as different roles to make fun of that person. I enjoy their playful like characters with each other. I think everyone wants a family like theirs, beside she Michelle Yim part behind it all.

It was a pity that Wayne left so early in the series. I thought he will be there for a long time, but I guess not. He was an alright character. He noticed what people had done for him and he was grateful to Lee See Kei, for everything she has done to help him in his career in the moon-cake business. I wish he sticked around for most of the series, I really like Wayne.

Susanna is such a evil person. Actually she is more of a mean head that doesn’t have a heart. In other words, it means the word that starts with a B. I think her character is a nice addition to the storyline to make a few laughs here and there, also some drama too. I get mad at her sometimes as she butts into people’s business. Her yelling is out of control, which makes her not that much different from her role in Heart of Greed. It is quite enjoyable when does start babbling about things. Her I guess payback for hurting everyone in the family, was when everyone know she wasn’t really related to them. I was like YES, payback. But as nice as the family was they still took her back into their home, and she started to change from then on. I also felt bad for her for having Kate as a daughter, and a husband that betrayed her. Well, at least in the end, she got it all back.

Michelle Yim. Evil, cunning and filled with jealously. In a way I feel bad for her and in a way I hate her and it was something that she deserved. I feel bad for her because Ha Yu is slowly leaving her and she is really all alone to fight against Lee See Kei, also because Linda is standing up for Lee See Kei rather then her own mother. I hated her, when she plot everything against the family and won’t stop taking revenge on Lee See Kei, it was pretty annoying. In the end she got what she deserved. By the way I hate her hair, why or why does she have to have that kind of hairstyle? was so forced to do that to make her look more villain like or something.

Moses was a very cute character in Moonlight, he is super funny and like-able. For some reason he doesn’t even look like an older brother to his siblings because of the childish ways he act sometimes. I think he is trying to give out a player feel to him, which I don’t think its working much because of his nerdy look. I always thought he would die sooner or later in the series from his heart issue, but I guess not which is a good thing. He is just so playful compare to his character in Heart of Greed. I like how he would always make jokes of Michelle and other people. His ring tones were priceless, very ingenious.

I would like her to get an award for this years anniversary. Her acting is unbelievably great. Her crying scenes, her sad scenes, her angry scenes and her dying scenes. Her scenes were very well acted. Too bad she die in the end, just because I really want to see her in the end, and how she would have reacted to the finally judgment of the moon cake shop. I never got really why she didn’t like Lee See Kei. Well anyways, at least in the end she realized that Michelle wasn’t a good person and left her lies.

Steward boy, is a cute nick-name, and Raymond is so cute in this series also. His character is very likable in many ways. He cared about his family more than anything in this world, and when it comes to love he sticks with that one girl, instead of moving on. For some reason he seems so weak in this series. It feels like he has a weak heart which makes him have a weaker character? Not sure. But I still like him and love his persistent for Linda.

As much as I like Linda, and how her acting has improve.. I still think she can’t exactly.. cry. Every time I see her cry it feels so fake in every way … its just not natural looking to me. Some scenes do look a little more natural. Well anyways, her character is very cute. Her smile is very cute every time she is around Raymond, Bosco or even when looking at the blog or email. I think her character struggles a lot of innocence, meaning that she doesn’t know what is going on a lot of the time. It feels like she shuts her mom out of her life a lot, we rarely get to see their relationship together. It feels like sometimes she would rather have Lee See Kei as her mom because she is always at her house instead of her own. Also she takes side with Lee See Kei too near the end of the series. All in all, I really like her.

I was so excited to see him on screen but it took him forever to appear!!!! Finally he did and he stole Linda’s heart along with that. He is very lovable and yet very hated too. Somewhat he reminded me of Raymond in Heart of Greed, for having two girlfriends at a time. I hate it when he couldn’t make up his mind on who he wanted to be with. I am like dude, it isn’t that hard, pick the one you love most. Yet, he doesn’t and chose to leave the one he loves to be with someone who is going to die. I don’t blame him for doing that since Claire, did do a lot for him. I felt so sad when he left.. but soon later he return, and I was hoping he might win Linda back, which he didn’t.

Fala Chen is so cute in Moonlight. I think with her being mute gives the storyline a little more emotional. For example when she was talking to her grandma saying how she was so great when they were young and she wanted that grandma back. Even though she couldn’t say it, and having Raymond translated felt more emotional then if she did say it from her own mouth. Also I was really interested in her relationship with Dexter, but it wasn’t much focused on , it was basically they got accepted and then they got married. I wish their storyline was a little more stretch out.

So evil….in so many ways. Her two faced character is very convincing. I wonder if she really did like Moses at all, or if she just wanted him to destroy Tavia. Her appearance was so late into the series, I didn’t really find myself growing into her character. I can’t believe she actually let the truth out in the end with Michelle. I guess everyone has a conscience of their own and we all will one day know who loves you the most.

The mother of them all. The wise one, the righteous one, and the one that tired to make everything right. Her character goes through a lot of struggles with her family and with their problems. I don’t think she will get best actress award this year, she had it last year and in Moonlight, I didn’t see that spark in her as I did in Heart, but who knows I can be wrong. She is too helpful.. too nice.. she is a mother that everyone wants.. because she is too perfect.

Tavia is a cute character, and the one that always get the blame. I feel bad for her when Kate does all these things to hurt her. It got so annoying when no one believed her, cause everyone would be against her. I hecka feel bad for her then. of course everything cleared up and she is always right. I love her character, how she stood up for herself for what she believed in. Her character is something that I always wanted to be.

The ending with all the court cases were annoying, just because of Michelle’s evil doing was just annoying. Seriously, how can that many people be on her side. Yet even though she won the case she still isn’t happy. When will this woman ever be happy!!?! She got what she wanted but yet she still doesn’t have what she exactly wanted with was Ha Yu. I was glad that everything worked out between the conflicts and she finally woke up in that she will never get what she wanted and she will have to live on. Everyone in the series, was happy in the end and Moses didn’t die. I love the ending, how they were singing together and the flashback would appear. It was great. I really saw the love of everyone throughout the series.

 I was pretty excited to see Michael again since I love him and I haven’t really seen him since Drive of Life. I love how Michael play the dumb dude in the beginning. It was just too cute when he was trying to talk and act. As much as I love seeing him in the plaid shirt, I like it better when he wore suits when he changed back to the bodyguard image. I love his character just because it showed that he actually loved his wife very much. He was always crying and all sad about her. I felt bad for him everytime he found new information regarding his wife’s death. I think its pretty amazing how he was depressed and so sad for so long. His character is both weak and strong, which I like very much.

Anita Yuen. I don’t remember what series I lasted seen her in or if I ever saw her at all. Well anyways, I guess her acting is alright also, kinda stiff in some ways , to me at least. Her expression is always this look that she has. haha. Maybe its because she just came back to acting, who knows. Her character is so naive to a point where it pissed me off at times. She thinks everything is so simple. I hated how she was so nosy about Crystal’s life when she just wanted to be left alone. There is just something that bugs me about the way she talks to people. Then again I am a bit weird, maybe its her character that bugs me. I have to see more of her works before I can really judge on her acting I guess. But all in all, I do like her and I hope she acts in more series in the future.

After seeing Crystal in her last series, Phoenix Rising, I was excited to see her role here. I am glad her relationship with her mom patched up and was able to be with her in her finally days, without regret. I like her personality also. I really like how she doesn’t care if she had a status or not with Power, as long as they can be together. I like her strong character also. I also like Crystal’s acting. I think she can really act,she can smile, laugh, cry. It’s all great. She fitted her character perfectly. I hope to see more of her soon.

Power Chan. From the moment I saw him, I felt like he had a secret that might lead to the death of Anita and Michael’s spouse. There is just something about his character, I guess. Also cause he is somewhat always the bad guy in series. His character is very cunning, in making people believe him. Wicked too for trying to kill Crystal near the end. I don’t have much to say about him.

Tracy Ip as Sophie. I think this the first time I am seeing her in a series. I guess she is pretty ok for a new person. As for her character, I thought she was very innocent. Even though I don’t care much about her relationship with Power and wanted Power to divorced some day for Crystal, I felt that every time I see her again after Power and Crystal together I feel so sorry for her. There is just something about her that made me feel so bad for her. Something that bug me was that she was taller than Power. It made it awkward looking for me. Don’t get me wrong I don’t really mind the girl being taller but the thing is that she was just a little taller than him all the time. It is just weird seeing her head pop like an inch. I am just weird. =p

I always thought from the beginning Michael and Anita would be a couple along the way , but I guess not. I thought that when they were trying to find out what happen with their spouses they would also find out they love each other also. Of course that happen, but the love is more of the friendly version of love. I am actually glad that they didn’t get together. Michael’s love for Angela was so strong that if he did go ahead and be with Anita, it would make me wonder how he moved on that quick, since he has been practically crying about it for months. I was pretty glad that they end up as friends.

Power Chan and Crystal Lin relationship is very cute. When I first saw them together, for some reason I didn’t blame them on being together behind Tracy. I like how Crystal wasn’t that evil mistress until that point where she did became evil. I found fun and cute together. They didn’t really expect much of each other, they were just there to be with each other every now and then. Crystal didn’t want much from him except his love so he didn’t have to leave his wife. I really supported this couple up to the point where it started to hurt Tracy. I hated when Crystal tired to make Sophie jealous.

 The story in general is cool, trying to find the reason behind their spouses death. I think that this should have been a movie more than a series. The plot is very movie like. I never expected Power to actually be so cunning. When he gave himself in to make it seem like it was his father in law fault was very convincing. I never expected that Crystal also had something to do with it. All along I thought that the murders were linked to one person for revenge or something. To me the outcome was very surprising for me cause what I have guess that would happen didn’t happen.

In the end, I think this series is alright. I found a lot of points draggy, if they didn’t involve talking about the case or some of the love stories in this series. Things like with Anita’s brother, mother, father in law, were quite boring and was a waste of time for me. I thought that their might be more suspense to this series with many twist and turns that will make you go to the edge of your seats. I was wrong. I was only excited about the first episode and the last.

 ” today I finally broke up with Diana”

First break up early in the week was Kau Chun and Diana. He broke up with her on a propsal which I thought was pretty… tacky. The reason was so that Diana would get accept in the family and with him by her side it wouldn’t happen since he doesn’t have a family name behind him. First of all he broke with her on paper!?! Its not high school, he should have broken up with her face-to-face. Well anyways, I didn’t think their break up was that sad since they didn’t do it in person. On the bright side, I liked the song that was playing at the end of the episode =] I think they will get back together when KC proves himself that he is worthy to be with someone like Diana and break the contract with money he earned or Diana won’t care about family name and be with KC.

Kau Chun:In the proposal it stated that Diana and I will not ever be together again. If I break it I will owe you ten million dollars (?). I have a request and is that Diana will have everything in the Man’s family and the status forever.

Diana:  He won’t give me up for money. He won’t give me up for ten million dollars.  I know now, he give me the contract for me to see. It’s because of me that he broke up with me. He loves me so he broke up with me. He did it for me. Kau Chun did it for me.

 ”I really like you”

Then at the end of the week it was Queenie and Useless. I think Queenie deserves him breaking up with her since she looked like she didn’t care about him at all at times. Also she always lie to him with Vincent’s brother. I thought it was pretty sad though. WAY better break up then KC & Diana’s. Maybe because it was in person and you can see their emotions of them breaking up. I didn’t like how Queenie had no emotions after the break up. Poor Useless was all depressed and everything and she was just all like…what did he say?! fjsfkj ksdjfskfdfeisdfjslf  show at least you care lady -_0. I think they will get back together with Queenie asking for him back.

Queenie:You came here,waiting for so long just to give me this watch?Ok, I see you have some sincerity, as the CEO I am going to hired you as the creative director(?)
Useless: I don’t want to work.
Queenie: Are you kidding me?
Useless: No I am serious. Its why I am waiting here for you.
Queenie:You said that you want to see me everday
Useless: I don’t want to ever see you again.
Queenie: What are you trying to say?
Useless: I am serious. Just make this as a breakup gift. Bye
Queenie: Wait, what are you doing?
Useless: Where were you around 6 today?
Queenie: I was with a cilent
Useless: You were at a cafe with Vincent’s brother, he gave you a watch too. During that time my heart hurt, I was hoping that you won’t recieve that gift but you did.  I don’t want to be in this love full of lies. Good-Bye
Queenie: You are different from him. I am only with him because of his power and I will also have a support

I think the better break up this week goes to Queenie and Useless just because he teared up like crazy and its emotional.

Olympic Arena

Finally back after more than a month of living off a suitcase I finally can use the closet again. :) This was the first time I left North America. Looking back on this trip I loved it, even though during it I somewhat disliked it. There was a lot of waking up early in the morning, staying up late,eating,shopping, oh yeah and WALKING. During this month I went to many parts of China besides HK, like one interesting city was BeiJing. There was when I walked the most cause there were a lot of old historical things. (like DC, so many history in the past weeks) I diddn’t really care too much with the ancient stuff, all I really cared about there is getting the olympic mascot stuff :] haha.

Other than that I  haven’t updated when I was gone, it was because I can’t go into this site to update. I can’t even view the public view of it. For a while I can’t get back to anyone’s messages left on the c-box because I couldn’t view many blogs. After a while I did and was able to get to them for a while. I won’t be blogging about FH II because I watched most of the eps at HK and I don’t really want to rewatch it just to blog about it. I will leave it to when I rewatch, when I feel like it. I might not finish CMN thoughts too just because I watched it over a month ago && I don’t want to rewatch it either.

Steven & Florence 343

Right now I am currently watching On the Track or Off. I saw it laying around at the house when I came back so I thought I would watch it during the day. It is a pretty amazing series, I can’t wait to blog about it when I finish. I am not watching Speech of Silence until later on because I didn’t even start on it when I was in HK. But I am watching Love Exchange,  also I am addicted to it. I love Michael Miu :] and the plot is pretty interesting. Also of course I am still watching Best Selling Secret. There are some good epsiodes every now and then. I am excited to see how his series end, with lest then 30 eps left and with some storyline unfinish I am very curious since its seriously finally coming to a close.

I changed my layout back to the blueish one so I can have a bigger banner space.

I just came back from New York about 72 hours ago and now I am going to the airport to go to Hong Kong. Hopefully I will have as much fun as when I was in New York and DC, but I know its going to be so different then that trip. For one thing, its going to be different since I am traveling with some family instead of friends & teachers. Another thing is that it won’t he as “sad” since we saw so many memorials, museums, cemeteries of great people, and soldiers that died for us.

Anyways, for sure I will be getting back to people’s comment. In DC & NY i just had too much stuff, too tired, to comment back people. I will be bringing my laptop so I will be able to make some post …at least I will try since getting screen caps might be a problem and maybe watching each epsiode will be a problem too since I heard I will be out a lot. I am pretty sure I will be making some post though, at least once in this month long trip. Hopefully I will take more pictures in this trip then my other trip. Have a great month guys

In episode 6, we got to see how the people from Damien’s gang met him and how the gang was form. I thought it was pretty cool how each person met Damien and I thought it was nice that the writers took some time to write the background of the characters a bit. Even though saving people is pretty typical, I thought it was still nice to incorporate into the story.

In these epsoides, it seemed like Joe and Fala’s marriage might start to have problems. It started with Fala being the model for the dimond necklace and how Joe didn’t really like what she was doing for Evergreen. It also showed that Evergreen is also somewhat interested in Fala. I hate the parts with Evergreen in it but I guess he had to be in it to create the storyline. We also see that Fala can’t have kids, which is something she is afraid to tell Joe because they wanted kids.

Honestly, I like the friendship between Damien and Idy. I likit at  how they would talk to each other and care of each other. I think they should have kept it at that but I know they won’t in the future epsoide. I do like seeing them together as best friends and nothing more. They don’t look too well together if they do become more than friends. By the way, Idy is still iffy to me.

I also like seeing Johnson and Koni relationship. Its more playful and cute. They always made fun of each other and I thought it was nice. I enjoyed seeing them together more than Johnson and Sharon. I wished that he like Koni more than Sharon, but its pretty clear that he really likes Sharon. I feel that Koni do have feelings for him, he just don’t know it yet. They would have been cute together.

I felt bad for Joe once he knew about that Officer Lau’s death. Joe put him in such a high place, a decent man that would have never broke the law. He was his hero all along. Now that he knows what he thought was wrong, he didn’t know what to believe anymore, everything about his hero is now crushed.

Thought you people should know I am leaving to New York and Washington D.C for 6 days with my class. I haven’t update in a while because of finals, so i thought this weekend I will put in one Catch Me Now thoughts before I leave. Sadly, that wasn’t possible, this weekend I was super busy. I planned to finish my thoughts for the post tonight… but then packing last minute I found was pretty stressful and painful… and I also realized it took me a long time. Right now its late and I am not even done packing for some reason so I don’t think I can finish the post for it. But i promise I will finish once I come back. I am not bring a computer  so I won’t be updating I might be able to get back to people’s messages and comment on my phone or iPod, since I am planning to check up on this blog every once in a while. It will depend on time I guess, I will try to do get at least one comment back a day if not then.oh well. sorry….so don’t think I am ignoring you

These two episodes were very cute. The way they acted was so sweet and everything. I also loved their thoughts voice over through out these two episode. In 297 it was more of KC thoughts and in 298 is more of Diana’s thoughts.  I got to say 297 was an amazing one especially in the end. I never thought they would actually kiss. After that “kiss” of Vincent and Ka Nam, I gave up on real kissing on BSS. Guess after all those complaints about it, they have to give a real looking kiss to redeem themselves. I also thought that there was only one kiss..but no there was two and I was kinda shocked with the second one. Not one but two. How cute was that. I also found it kind of random, how they got together. I always imagine a better storyline to it. I wish KC was the one that kissed her first though, he needs to be a man.

 These are some of my favorite parts.

 Diana thoughts:
Finally, KC and I have started. I never thought I would date someone with no family name or with no status. But if I think about it, even though he can’t met my society status, the happiness he gave me is something I never had before. I have asked myself many times what do I like about this guy? Maybe its because he simply gave me his heart, and I believe if everyone in this world leaves me, he would still be there by my side. Even maybe, for me he would give up his whole world. In this complicated world, I would never meet such a innocent sheep, how can I not be touch?

Diana: Did you wait for a long time?
Kau Chun: No, I have waited for 10 years, I can wait that 10 minutes more.
(Kau Chun reached his hand out to her and she grabbed onto his hand. They began to walk.)
Diana: Why did you go out today?
Kau Chun: I was showing a client around today. I took some pictures and sent them to you.
Diana:Really? I haven’t notice.
(Diana flipped her phone open and saw the pictures.)
Diana: Why did you take the pictures like that? It looks like you are a criminal.
Kau Chun: Yeah cause I have been in your prison.
Diana: Right now I am releasing you.
(Diana took her hand out of Kau Chun’s. Then Kau Chun took her hand back.)
Kau Chun: No way, I want imprisonment for life.
(They saw people walking and released their hands. After the people left they held hands again.)
Diana:Where are we going?
Kau Chun: going to eat.
Diana:I already ate at the meeting, I don’t want to eat anymore. You didn’t eat yet. Why didn’t you tell me earlier. There isn’t taxi around here either. We don’t even now how far we have to walk either.
Kau Chun: It’s okay, once we walk farther there are stuff to eat there.
Diana: I am scared your stomach will hurt
Kau Chun: Then I will eat you.
(Kau Chun grabbed her arm and pretended to eat her. Then they started to walk again.)

Diana’s Thoughts:
After being with KC, the feeling is very special. Every joke he said, I would think its very funny. Everything he does, I would think its very sweet. I never had this feeling with anybody. In this moment, if i can trade anything in the world for this I won’t. I believe that this feeling is what story books say “happiness”

Kau Chun:No matter how much other jobs can pay me I would never leave Ying.
Diana: Why are you telling me this I am not your boss right now? You don’t have to suck up to me.
Kau Chun: I am not like that. I want to be by your side to be your armor? to protect you from bullets.
Diana:What now? Did you swallow the word “juk mai” from the dictionary.

I thought 298 was the cutest episode of all. They can’t stop smiling at each other which I thought was very cute. I love it when they were held hands outside the streets and in the end when they were looking that the menus. They are just too cute together right now. I love what KC said to her in the end, he said that he would be her guardian angel protecting her. I can’t wait to see more of their cuteness together before BSS ends. Seeing them is so different now, I don’t know. I have look back at the older episode and it felt like two different stories/couples.(like the episodes before the tape incident)  It just feels kind of awkward to me now that they are together I guess but its all good. I just need to see them more together so I will get use to it.

The beginning was very “cool” haha. The theme video reminded me of the Angels of Mission? or something. I love the idea of this series, the modern day Robin Hood. I love how they planned the missions and everything. Damien is very smart in thise series, and also he was very cool about things. Joe is pretty smart too noticing things and he thinks outside the box.

I LOVE Fala Chan right now. I always liked her and everything but in this series I am really started to like her even more. Her accent is leaving her as I noticed. She is very pretty in this series, or at least I finally notice how beautiful she is. She looks more grown up in this series too. I also lover her character in this series, I find it as not as significant but it was great seeing her still as a wife of Joe. Her acting I notice did get better, since the very first time I saw her around a year ago. I can’t wait to see her more in this series and later in other series.

Idy Chan. I think she is alright and her acting is alright too. I guess I don’t hate her and I don’t love her, she is just okay to me. I did have high expectations for her since I heard a lot of people wanted to see her again so I thought she would be super good and I would love her like I did with Margie. I guess, I was wrong. I don’t really like her voice it sounds so dry. My dad said she was always like that so [shrugs]. All in all I don’t mind seeing her is just that I am not in the mode where I love watching her, maybe later, or maybe when I watch her in something else we will see.

Damien & Joe, I love seeing them together again. This time Damien is supposedly the “bad” guy and Joe is the good guy, compare to Drive of Life when Damien was the god one and Joe was the bad one. I like seeing them together again on screen.  I love both of them and it was nice to see another collaboration. These two make a very good major characters in this series. I love seeing how Joe is trying to catch Damien, I can’t wait to see what happens when one day he does finally catch him.

Joe and Fala is absolutely cute together even with the big age different you can’t really tell that their age are about 10 years apart. At the beginning I was very iffy about them not sure if they will turn out good, but once again I was wrong. They are adorable from the second I saw them together. I always thought they were going to go out first but I guess they were married for some time now and now they are trying to have a kid. It seemed like they are those newly wedded couples that don’t fight and still sweetly in love with each other. I can’t wait to see more of their scenes together and how they will develop in their relationship together.

I love the gang. Everyone is so smart and cool in here. It makes me want to do stuff like that. Everyone in there had a “power” ..haha. I love it when they get together, they are very funny. They are also cute together when they joke around.I love their chemestity together. I wonder if there are gangs like that these day, the one that gives to the poor.

I thought the way that Margie and Derek got together was kind of cute. I love them when they were at the park and they got together there. It was super cute how Derek tried to grab her hand but too bad he didn’t cause Margie heard Roger’s name. They didn’t have too much scenes together after when they got together, which disappointed me a bit. I was really hoping that they will have more cute scenes together cause I really love them together. I wished that they got married in the end, but they didn’t. Hopefully if there is a squeal they will get married in there.

I thought Sonjia and Roger had a nice story in the end. I loved how Roger didn’t want Sonjia to die so he left her. I also loved how Sonjia told him that no matter what she wanted to be with him and she didn’t care how long that time would be as long as they were together some point in their lives. I didn’t really liked them together that much but in the last episode, I liked them together. It was a very cute scene at the graveyard, by the way its so obvious it isn’t Canada. (they shot every single graveyard scene from other series there) I like the lighting though, it looks like morning .

I love the ending. I heard there were many complaints about Roger’s death, but I thought it fit great. The cause of his death kinda, what I thought resulted with Sonjia’s stubbornness & impulsiveness. If she didn’t go and chase the guy, Roger won’t have ran after her and the truck won’t roll back. Then Roger wouldn’t have walked right into the car. I also thought that it was nice that Roger gave up his life so he can be with Sonjiafor a while. It was just kind of sad that they never actually got married. Good tragic though…TVB loved putting one of the two to death before the wedding.  I hated the alternative ending, its too…. tacky.

Final Thoughts:

I thought the cases in D.I.E were great. Somehow everything linked to one another, I also liked how so many people die. I liked it cause once the crew found out that, this person had something to do with the case, they get a call saying that this person die. I thought it was pretty cool, cause it challenge them a bit more and also the case lasted longer.

I love the chemistry between the whole cast. I felt that the cast was well put together even though I didn’t really like some of the characters of the story its still alright. I love the D.I.E team too, they worked together so perfectly, I love seeing them bunch up together to solve the case. All in all, I think the producers of this series did a great job in casting people cause everyone fitted perfectly and I can tell there was a great bond between these people, like family.

I didn’t really like Kenneth and Sonjia’s characters. I didn’t like how Kenneth changed his heart easily but then again who can blame him. I didn’t like Sonjia cause she was just too aggressive and stubborn. I didn’t like her hair either, it looked too messy for me .  Also I really dislike them two together, they don’t match at all to me. I really hope that this is the first and last time they are pairing as a couple in a series. Actually I take that back, if Sonjia let her hair down more, they would look better together. In the end I liked them a little bit more I thought they were a bit more bearable. I loved their friendship in the end and I wished that they were only friends throughout the whole series.

I love Roger in this series. He had that little dumb look like in Life Made Simple and the smart look from To Get Unstuck In Time. I believed that one thing that made this series such a great one with such high ratings is because of him. It had been at least one year absence from him in the TVB world, and I think that a lot of people wanted to see him act once again.

I think out of this series, I am becoming a fan of Margie. This is the first time I saw her in a series and I really like her. I also love her voice for some reason. She is the second TVB actress voice that I love. There is something about her voice, I think its the way its so clear and crisp, I have no idea but I just love it.  She is actually pretty too for her age.  I absolutely love the scenes between Roger and Margie and Derek with Margie. She is so cute with them both and great chemistry with Roger as brother and sister.  As much as I love the Derek and Margie couple, I kinda wish that Margie and Roger would be a couple instead of the brother and sister relationship. I guess maybe in the future series they might be as a couple instead. Thankfully D.I.E is the first series I saw her in rather than that Dog and Cats series because I don’t think I will like her that much if I didn’t see her in a good series. I can’t wait to see more of her in future series, and can’t wait to go find some old series of her to watch soon.

 Honestly, I am watching this series because of Derek and Margie relationship, Roger, and the cases. At first, I watched this series because of Roger, Kenneth and because it was a detective series and I thought it would be interesting. I won’t mind seeing a sequel to this series.

 its short cause i don’t really want to go back and skim what happen in these eps. maybe i will edit this again later..in the future when i have time to watch those parts again or when i rewatch the series

Derek was looking for Margie but he found out that she was trying on wedding gowns cause she was getting married. He got there and he started to pound on the door.

Derek: Don’t get impulsive to get married. You are going to be a a place with no friends and family. Why do you want to go there. Listen to me there are a lot of people here that care about you.At least there is one person that really cares about you. Open the door.
Margie: Why do you care if she marry some old guy? Do you like her?
Derek: Yes I do like her. I had a crush on you for the longest time. Yes, I am a loser I didn’t know how to express and didn’t know how to tell you. But I can tell you this, I really do love you. Please stay. I will protect you.

The girl opened up the door and it wasn’t Margie. He turned around and there was Margie.

Margie and Derek was sitting at the park.

Derek: Sorry for the thing at first. I got tricked
Margie:What if she didn’t trick you? What if it was true?
Derek: What you really want to married that guy?
Margie: What you said at first was it just rehearsal like last time at the elderly’s home.
Derek: I wasn’t. In fact I meant it both times. But I didn’t have the guts to say it.
Margie: Why?
Derek: Because I was afraid that you would reject me and we can’t even be friends.
Margie: You must thank her for tricking you.
Derek: She trick me how do you expect me to thank her.
Margie: Well if she didn’t trick you, you won’t tell the truth. By then I may never get married
Derek: You mean you will accept me. Don’t worry I will make you happy, so so happy.
Margie: Wow so happy so many times?

#4 Roger & Margie

Roger piss Margie off and she called him a freak. Roger went to her room to say sorry and pacify her.

Roger: What do you want? I said I am sorry and I made an mistake. What should I do to make it up to you? I didn’t meant to hit him at first. Fine, I will let you hit me back
Margie: Brother, do you have a crush on me? This always happens in those Japenese or Korean TV series. I don’t mind if this happens in Hong Kong as well. 
Roger:Don’t get me wrong. I just care about you. I don’t want you to be cheated by bad guys. 
Margie: Look at you. You are so stupid. You call yourself a detective? You can’t tell what is true. 
Roger:Don’t joke about this. THis is really disgusting. Are you crazy?
Margie: You are crazy. I don’t understand it. Derek is so nice. Why do you object to us?
Roger:How nice is he?
Margie: He got a lot of merits, He is kind and innocent.
Roger:That means he get cheated easily.
Margie: Also he is righteous and conscientious
Roger: That mean he will get killed easily
Margie: Why do you have to bring out the bad side?

So it seems like ever since many things clear up between them, Kau Chun left notes for Diana every Thursday asking her to go to dinner with him. It was also an excuse to go because there was a special. Kau Chun didn’t want to ask her face to face because he was scared to get rejected and that it was because he was afraid that Diana didn’t forgive him yet. Diana forgave him and sort of wanted to go everytime but didn’t go in the end.  KC was at the restaurant there waiting for her and MoGeiYung showed up and told him that he needs to man it up in order for Diana to start showing her feelings. Vincent gave KC a project to handle and he is suppose to be the “boss” of the thing. At first Diana got mad at him because he won’t stand up to be the man of project.

Diana got a call from Ken and they went out to lunch. MoGeiYung and KC went out and spied on them. Ken and Diana was talking about the project and letting Ken’s company to sponsor the project/event. Diana sneezed and Ken grabbed her hand making sure she wasn’t cold. KC saw it and got really jealous. Diana held out an a compact mirror and saw the reflection of them.  The next day at the meeting KC told rejected Ken’s company sponsoring the event. Diana ask him why did he rejected it and asked him if it was cause he got jealous of Ken. He told her that Ken’s company is in deep water and it will lead Ying into trouble too if they sponsor them. Diana happily told him that it was fine and smiled at him. She also told Vincent that this project was done thanks to KC.

It was Thursday and Diana didn’t see the note that KC normally left her. She decided to go to the restaurant and when she got there she didn’t see him. She asked the waiter the special was still going on. The waiter told her that they aren’t doing it this week. This left Diana disappointed. She was just about to leave but when she turned around she saw KC there. KC asked her if she would still go to dinner if there isn’t a special. Diana told him that if there is someone there with her to eat it she would. Diana told KC that next time don’t leave notes to ask her out for dinner just ask her face to face. KC told her if its not needed, to not meet with anyone at their restaurant. Diana asked him what was good there,and he told her all these items. Diana asked him how does he know how everything on the menu taste like and KC slipped out that he has been there for weeks of course he knew.  Then KC told her that he would order for her. Diana thought that KC is a sheep with horns now. It was also cute how Diana smiled at the note and at him when he rejected Ken.

First of all, I think you would notice my little captions on the picture haha Anyways, this eps gave me a lot of different thoughts, emotions and whatever else I felt. I always thought Diana didn’t care how KC acted I mean, when he was a “dog” it was clear that she had feelings for him, now she wanted a manly KC. Whatever, at least this episode didn’t piss me off. I thought it was very cute how KC left all these notes for her.  For course the last moments of the eps are my favorite. I wonder when they are going to get together. It looks so close and yet so far. The way they are moving throughout these eps are pretty slow… seriously. But I guess at least they are moving right, better than nothing. I liked the old episode on them more. I found it more meaningful and had a better script than this episode. I felt like a different writer wrote this one. But I guess after all that happen it is kind of hard to make things better and have a better story on top of of an already good story, if you know what I mean. Hopefully they will get together soon, I wonder how they will get together too. Its going to be interesting,but really I can’t actually see them being together right now. Something big has to happen, like… i have no idea, but I guess I will have to wait and see.

The cases in these eps are pretty neat. I love Margie’s client case. I thought it was something smart. I was very scared for Margie when she was captured though. haha. but thank god she was fine and Derek was the one that saved her. cute huh? I also like the online guy case. I thought that one was very realistic in our culture today. The other case about the dead actress was pretty neat too, it looked like pretty interesting. By the way a lot of people died in this series I have notice and they die after Roger knew that they have something to do with the case. Some of the endings of the case are rather interesting.

I really dislike Sonjia and Kenneth together. They are just so awkward together and they aren’t very good at making people think that they are a couple, at least to me. They don’t really have any cute moments together and when they have scenes together I fell that they are more like friends than a couple. I also didn’t like how Sonjia was starting to neglect Kenneth. He was such a good somewhat great boyfriend to her, always asking her out to dinner and wanting to spend time with her. All she does is work and talk about work and Roger. Which meant that I didn’t blame Kenneth for leaving her and cheating on her. She put it on herself. If she spent more time with him and everything, Kenneth would never cheat on her.

That is why I didn’t blame Kenneth for cheating on her. Kenneth got really lonely and all Sonjia did was work. He needed someone to love him and be there with him. All Sonjia did was talk and helped Roger.  Time after time, Sonjia forgave him but he kept on cheating on her which I do blame him for. Once was enough but no, again and again he went back to ‘queenie’.

Kitty. This is the first time I have seen her. When she appeared the first time as a ghost, I thought it was kind of creepy and I thought there will be like a creepy storyline to it and how she got killed too. I was wrong, nothing creepy and scary at all, she died from taking a bath and she was a fun character. I love it when she took over Sonjia’s body and spend a day at the carnival with Roger.

Sonjia and Roger.  I thought the way they got together was too quick, and rushed.  I thought it was very random how Sonjia liked him so quickly too. I guess they look alright together, but I kinda don’t want them to be together, it seems quite weird. I swear its the hair that made it weird, always the hair. lol.

Derek and Margie. So cute together especially with the kitten thing. Too bad they don’t have so many scenes together, I wish they did though. Its really cute how they are kind of shy around each other at around eps 19ish. I swear this is the cutest couple in D.I.E.

#1 Wayne & Florence

They both got to the side of their car and their boss called them for a meeting. Wayne said he will be there in 10 minutes, but then Florence said she will be there in 5 minutes. They both started the engine and raced. Then when they both reached the opening to the turn to the other floor together and neither of the car can get through.

Florence: Hey why are you ”ding” my car?
Wayne:Yes I am “dinging” you.
Florence: I “ding” you too.

Wayne got out of the car and Florence followed him but she couldn’t get out of her car because there was little room and her butt was too big.

Wayne: The car also “ding” you. I told you not to make it that big.

Florence finally slide out and Wayne started to run.

#2 Wayne & Florence

They had been bickering about their bet and how Wayne’s doesn’t want to do it in the elevator. When it was Wayne’s floor he got out and went into his condo.

Wayne: Such a bitch. Stupid girl. a real bitch

Wayne got the glass dog with Florence’s face tape onto it and he start to hit it. Then he gave a call to Florence.

Wayne: Even if my horse doesn’t go to the gate, your china boy getting the ‘new star award’ is impossible tell him to get a piece of crap
Florence: You lost, music industry isn’t your thing anymore. Why do you care if my kid has the award later.

A banging noise started to appear.

Florence: Hey what is that sound. What are you doing downstairs?
Wayne: I am “dinging” you right now.

Wayne hangs up the phone and kept hitting his roof with his wood stick. Florence, then, grab a bowling ball and started to drop it onto the floor. After a while Wayne lost most of his electricity and he hit himself with the wood.

There was a bunch of chefs waiting outside of Louis’s restaurant wanting “chu sun” to come out. They came because they wanted to have a little competition with him.  Louis then went to Maggie’s magazine place to tell her that he is not “chu sun” Maggie yelled out “chu sun” and the photographers were on him again.

Bobby’s student said they should leave because the newspaper said they found out who “chu sun” was. Bobby asked him why and besides the “chu sun” that they found was not Bobby it was Louis. Bobby called him useless and continue his cooking.Meanwhile at lunch, Lydia and Esther was wondering if Louis was really “chu Sun”.

Then Lydia and Esther went over to Louis and asked him if he was really “chu sun”. Lydia said there was only one way to find out.  Then she started to beat up Louis. Louis’ boss came out and stop Lydia from hurting Louis and got Lydia’s husband’s chef hat dirty and was pissed off. He started to rub his her face that every year he wins the cooking competition after her husband gone missing.

Lydia got back to the restaurant and ask Bobby and his student whether if she had blood on her hands or not. They replied no. Lydia got all pumped up and told them once she finds “chu sun” she is going to rip every gut out of him. Then she got all sad and said even if she did find him she can’t really take revenge on him. Esther went up to Bobby and wanted to tell her something but Bobby was like if you want to ask for something better be on your knees. Esther told him, no she didn’t have anything to say to him. Then Bobby told her alright then, I will go change and leave.

Esther went to where Bobby was getting fishballs? and told him that she did had something to say to him. Bobby started to guess what she wanted to say, but he kept guessing “i love you ” and stuff like that. Esther said no and told him that she wanted to be his student. Then Bobby told her he can’t accept her since she made him lose his fish balls to someone else. Esther was like I will give you fish balls from “lung pou”. Bobby didn’t want her fish balls and told her once “lung pou” stall has the long line he would accept her as his student.

Esther started to make the fish balls. The first try, the fish balls weren’t hot at all, so they added the garlic hot sauce and they added a lot. They tried it again and it was burning their tongue like heck. They kept asking Bobby’s student to tell them what they can put it in to make it less hot. He told them he can’t tell since its not right. Back at his house, Bobby tasted the garlic sauce and told his student that it was crap and prepared some of the ingredients for garlic sauce and he was going to make it.

Bobby gave Esther a pot of fish ball but he tricked her and something pop up. His student said sorry and handed her the real sauce that they wanted her to try. Esther tasted it and started to wonder why its so good and how it keeps a person wanting more of it. When Esther was trying to make the sauce again Bobby was sitting there drinking his coffee, saying how good the coffee is. The waitress spilled the coffee into the garlic and Esther remember what Bobby said about the coffee when he was drinking it at first.Then Bobby and his student saw how long the line was for “lung pao” fish ball stall.

Esther told Louis that she will win him in the challenge. It was Esther’s first lesson from Bobby and he told her to “rely on yourself” The resturant challenge dish was garlic chicken with rice. Lydia wanted Bobby to help her but he didn’t want to help. Esther made all these dishes and everyone said it was super good and Bobby student tried one dish and said it was the grossest thing he ever ate. Esther told him that dish was from their restaurant. Bobby told them not to use iced chicken and told them to use the leg of the chicken too. He also told them that choosing the chicken needs to have the right “feel” to it.

Maggie promised Louis’s boss that she would give his restaurant 5 stars for 8 months if he gives the key to Louis house to her. Maggie went into his house and started to film the house. Louis and his student came back home and his boss tried to stop them from going into the house., but he failed. Once inside the house Maggie tired to escape but she can’t cause Louis and his student kept walking around. Finally she found a way to escape and Maggie slammed the door as she left and slammed it on Louis hand and they went to the hospital.

Esther tried to make his chicken again, and once again everyone said it was good, but it was a lie. Bobby brought her into the country area to get some chicken. They went over to Bobby’s old maid and driver house and looked for some chicken there. There was a difference between the chicken from the country then the ones at the city and there was a big “feel” to it. Bobby’s old maid and driver also told Esther a bit about Bobby’s past.

Maggie went to “Queen Rose” and gave a little gift to Louis to say sorry for the accident. Louis told her that he didn’t want to see her anymore. Louis boss told him to let Maggie help him do some stuff around, in a way to say sorry and cause he shouldn’t move his hand around. When Maggie was cleaning his house a guest came and drop down gifts for Louis for helping him. 

The guy told him that his dad used to be homeless. He would go get food in the garbage from “chu sun” cooking. “chu sun” found out and told him that he should start over and make a new business and if he wanted to eat his food again, that he would go into the restaurant and eat it not in the alleyway. He also told him that if he finds him out there eating again, he would release dogs and cats to bite him. Then the guy’s dad  told “chu sun” that one day he would make so much money he is going to buy the restaurant and make him make food for him everyday. 

 The guy looked around the house and found a picture and thought it was “chu sun” brother. Margie said no this is “chu sun” himself.  The guy said its not possible the guy in the picture is just 20 something and “chu sun” is suppose to be around 40 now. From what his dad said, “chu sun” should be almost bald and fat.Maggie thought it was impossible because all her research said that Louis was “chu sun” so she went to “mei wong” and asked him if Louis is “chu sun”

Maggie ask Louis if he was “chu sun”. The old man told Maggie that the day that “chu sun” was in the competition  Louis was spotted with his girlfriend at dinner and then afterwards they went to go watch a movie. Maggie now understand that Louis is not “chu sun”

Bobby tasted the chicken that Esther made. Esther asked him it it was gross. Bobby told her that is deadly disgusting. Esther told him that she spent so much time on it and it was impossible so she tried it herself. She couldn’t even bite into it.

Meanwhile Louis and his student went out to get food and they met up with Bobby and his student. Bobby and his student left because he didn’t want to steal Louis idea of buying fruits to soften the chicken. Then at the competition the old guy was tasting the food. They said the spiciness leaves after a while in the mouth.

After Esther left, I knew there won’t be anymore Vincent and Ka Nam episodes, which does disappointed me.  I like watching relationship developments it makes me happy, well after all I am a girl.  All that kept me watching this series was Florence Kwok and her relationship with Stephen Au. The next thing was on Alvina Kong relationship with Tsui Wing. I swear if it wasn’t for these two couples, I would have quit on the day that Esther left. To me I think Queenie and MoGeiYung is much more happier couple and they will get together soon, its just that they need to I guess have more moments with each other. Kau Chun and Diana has the …serious thing going on?, I have no idea. Well this post is about them soo…If you had been watching this series you know what happen with them in one eps last year. Well basically, they lost the trust of each other.

In these few episode, KC found out the truth about his cousin’s ‘cancer’ and the truth about the tape. His cousin couldn’t take it anymore  on how no matter what she can’t get his attention or his love. She knew that no matter what the only person he cared about was Diana, he didn’t even notice whether she was really sick with cancer or not. She told Diana to help her tell KC that she was lying. Just when Diana was about to tell KC, KC brought up the tape thing again and Diana changed the topic to about what Vincent want KC to do later. She left him thinking that she isn’t right for him and that KC needed a more innocent girl, not some girl that will be able to betray herself. Then in the next esp. Kau Chun finally knew the truth about the tape and how it wasn’t Diana’s fault. He told her that he was sorry for blaming her but Diana said it was nothing and she left to go see a client. Kau Chun wonder if she really didn’t care about it or that she was still hurt from it. He thought that if things clear up things between them will be the same as before but it wasn’t, there was still a wall between them. The next episode Diana wanted to get revenge on Queenie and she put their company tape in Queenie’s car. Kau Chun knew what Diana was doing and wanted to stop her but couldn’t so he lied to Vincent saying that he put the tape there the other night.  Also in this esp. KC finally knew that Chu Chu had been lying to him. Kau Chun left a voice-mail for Diana saying that he is sorry for what he did but he had to do it cause he promised MoGeiYung to keep his secret. He also said that he has something to say to her. Diana thoughts were that KC is too innocent or somewhere along the lines of that and when a lion stays with a innocent sheep both of them will get hurt. It seems like Diana really given up on being with Kau Chun.

My thoughts on them right now is that I think I give up on them! These episode make me mad. lol. Its been nothing but pulling them apart at least its pulling Diana away. I thought after Kau Chun knew the truth about everything, he will go chase Diana again, but nooo.. that doesn’t happen. He doesn’t show anything and did something that kind of showed that he betrayed Diana. Then now I am guessing Diana is giving up on them. I guess KC knew that he had hurt Diana a lot and  he need to prove that he is sorry. I  guess Diana is giving up on them because they are like totally two different people and I guess they have the “burden” and the “burden” I am guessing is along the lines of trust. Man seriously, in the very beginning since i started watching BSS I always thought that Diana and KC will be together first or at least before Vincent and KaNam, but I guess I was really wrong on that one. Why can’t KC just step up and tell her face to face what he feels and what he thinks!?! gosh he like kinda knows that she does have some feelings for him so TRY.geezz ..haha

BSS you keep pissing me off with Esther leaving, a not as satisfactory ending with Vincent and KaNam and now this…. -_- what next bring back MayMay? This series secret is to piss me off or something.

But then…from 270 it seemed like Diana won’t give up after all after she left her “burden”  I guess. Kau Chun said, “yeah no matter what never give up” Diana told him. “you too” Somehow I am guessing they are inferring to each other not to give up. From this esp you finally see them smiling at each other for the first time this week. My thoughts have changed after this esp. Maybe there is hope for them after all . Guess there has to be some major falling before things can get back up. Hopefully, they will have one more good eps. and then get together from there, cause seriously you can only drag this thing for so long before people like me will totally give up. After Vincent and Ka Nam’s let down, I am hoping their story will turn out a bit better.

It started out as Paul and Bobby’s cooking match. Paul is Bobby’s master and he lost because Bobby accidently sneezed some pepper over to his dish. This was the first time Paul lost and he rushed out of the building. Then it was 3 years later. Paul is missing and his resturant was given to Esther, someone who can’t cook. They sold part of the resturant to Bobby. Bobby showed up and cooked some food for the people and told Esther that she couldn’t cook.

Now we get to see Louis Koo, he smell something fimilar as his student stepped into the resturant. It was from a toliet paper and he knew it was from the “chu sun”.

Bobby and his student was talking at home while they were cooking noddles. His student was wondering why he still brought the resturant since it had no business and it was going to close down soon. He thought that Bobby did it to prove to himself that he can do it, get a almost out of business resturant back to a well profit resturant. Then he thought of that he brought it for the daughter.

Lydia thought that Bobby brought 51% of the resturant “mei mei yuan” for a reason. She thought he didn’t buy it to invest money but for Esther. She thought Bobbb brought the resturant to get Esther’s heart too. Bobby came to the resturant and straight into the kitchen and won’t let Esther go ino the resturant. The restruant started to have a bit more business after Bobby started to cook.

Esther wonder why she can’t go into the resturant so she went to talk to Bobby. Bobby told her that she was useless to the resturant and told her to give up. Esther went and made soup to prove that she can cook and Bobby tasted a bit and told her that no one would drink this and pour it down the drain. Esther asked him what gives him the write to do that. He said that he is a cook and if she doesn’t believe him they should go ask a restruant reviewer.

Louis’s boss went over to “mei Mei yuan”  in disguise to go see how good their food is and wonder why their business is starting to drop. Lydia thought that the boss was the reviewer but it wasn’t. Maggie was but Lydia thought she was just a customer, and even yelled at her a bit. Maggie gave them a bad review.

 She then wanted to find out with was “chu sun”. She found a business card that said “chu sun” on the back and thought that person was “chu sun”.  She also found out that “chu sun” can make a very good unique soup that needed a fork. Lydia went over to Louis’s resturant and asked for a soup that needed a fork to eat and he made it. Lydia ate it and it was one of the best things she ate. Maggie was there at the same time and she now thought she knew who “chu sun” was. She went over to him and confronted him.  

Louis and Bobby finally encounter each other for the first time. They met on the streets when Bobby was about to eat his rice noddles, Louis bumped into him and made Bobby dropped the plate. Then the people started to run because cops were coming and Louis pushed Bobby into the wall so they can get out of the way. Bobby’s last rice noddle was stuck on the wall and he was sad and the noddle had feelings too. Louis told him that he would pay him back and Bobby said it wasn’t the money’s problem. Louis then told him that he will make him some. They got into a kitchen and Louis made him some and they went out to a park? and sat there talking about food.

 It’s a chairman’s  birthday and he invited some of the top chefs to cook for him.Normally he would have 100 of tables but today its only him. Everyone thought that one of the chefs in the room must be “chu sun” but the chairman said, today he isn’t here because he didn’t invite him for this event. One of the waiters rolled in with a plate of yang chow friend rice and told the chairman that a guy name “gum yut san” made it for him for his birthday. The chairman said that there was meaning to the fried rice. He also told everyone that his company will go into bankruptcy tomorrow. The fried rice gave him a feeling that life has hope, because “chu sun” made it for him once and today he is reminded of that hope.

 Louis runs to go find if he was still there. He went into the kitchen and felt the presence of “chu sun” there moments ago. He also found the spice that “chu sun” used. A spice that will leave an impression on you forever.

Maggie went over to Louis’s resturants to give a review on them. Louis was prepared a plate of seafood fried rice. When Louis left the kitchen, his student went and put some of the spice into the fried rice. Maggie tasted the rice and notice the spice that was put in and she knew that only “chu sun” will put in this spice. She gave the resturant 5 stars.

Lydia then told Esther to make Bobby her master, but she didn’t want to . In the resturant, there was this group of guys that came over because at the other resturant there wasn’t any room for them. The food came to them and they ate it. The guys thought it was the best food they have ate.

Esther wanted to make Bobby her master but Bobby said he couldn’t hear her so then Esther left. Bobby and his student went out and didn’t come back at the resturant for the night shift. Esther and Lydia thought they can do it without them. The guys from lunch came back again demanding the pork chop over rice. The guys told everyone to get that meal too because its the best in the resturant. It came out and it was one the of the worst thing he had tasted. Lydia told him to give them some time to prepared another one. Esther knew she can’t make that good of a pork chop.

Esther bumped into Bobby at the food stalls and she was about to get some fishballs. Bobby told her not to get it because it was bad and then the grandma started to scream at him.
